I've seen that one, not a big fan. Too many bits and pieces I'd remove and its boosted...

Buy a tidy/rust free car. Return it to stock with new parts. Mosts "mods" are reversible.

What you sell some of the aftermarket parta for could cover the stock parts.

When i was looking for mine i wanted certain attributes but after you look at a few that are 'immaculate' you end up buying the least shitbox one. Regardless of colour/year model....unless your budget is infinite.

I'm beginning to consider cars outside my original specs simply because the ideal car isn't coming up.

Id consider my budget fairly healthy at around 40-45 imported.

So far I've missed a few grade 4/4.5 that were a little closer to 50k delivered. I'm putting those misses down to the fact that all of those cars had around/under 20,000 kms.

My quest continues....

Stay on target - your time will come....

Cheers

Andreas - took me several months as well but very happy with the end result.......

BTW - for that budget you can probably return that Gumtree one back to spec ;-)

$45 to $1,100....that's worse than the GTRs themselves!

:13_upside_down: I didn't know the front/rear moulds jumped that much either. The last time I checked they were $290 and $322 for front/rear, I really should start stocking up more on new parts.

OEM front a rear bars will be one of those expensive items as time goes on.

Not to derail the thread but the 32 GTS-t's are getting scarcer. Particularly unmodified.

Worst still........... That's just the outer moulds, then you need to buy the inner fasteners. They are a couple of hundred each too!

In a couple of years time these cars will be well and truly out of the reach of the enthusiast.

The poor cars will be wrecked out and the good cars will continue to rise in value.

My mate bought this Porsche 911 in 2008 for $42,500....... Spent about $18K over time and it's a multiple trophy winning car.

Listed it late last week....... http://www.classicthrottleshop.com/modernclassic8.html

Ironically, how many 911's do you think Porsche made between 1984-1989? These were last of the impact bumper cars......

Total - 70,044 That's coupes, cabriolets and targa's but still....... A lot higher number than R32 GT-R's!

I imagine trying to find a clean and stock R32 GTS-T would be like trying to find a clean and stock S13/180SX.

That 911 appreciated a fair bit! I always thought the ~44,000 R32 GTRs were too many, but those 70,000 911s prove it's not.

In contrast, there's 40 R32 GTRs going through auction at the moment in Japan. While a lot of them are most likely not that great, 40 is still 40. Will be interesting once it ends up being less than 10 going through auction in Japan regularly. If it ever ends up at this point anyway.

Has anyone checked out the white 93' BNR32 in melb? He's been dropping the price like crazy.

Can you provide a link?

Is it on carsales?

Yes...... That does look good. I'd be surprised if that stayed around for much longer.

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
