  1. Like many here, i have a quiafe front diff, does not chatter and and quiet/smooth operation. no issue. you dont have to remove the engine to get it fitted either. Any decent diff shop will know how to set it up with the engine in the car.
  2. totally doable on floor. pain in the ass but doable. lift it slowly and inch it forward/closer to the motor as you go up. it is a bit of fiddling around but you may have to drop/lift the box from the rear to get the right angle as youre going in. take your time and dont force anything, it should go home 99% of the way without much fuss. Also, if you have a pull type clutch make the retainer on your clutch cover is on properly otherwise youll be taking the box out again. have fun.
  3. Is there any further update on this? I have so far fitted these up but not yet started/driven the car. First off the tensioner stud is longer that factory so lower timing cover needs to be cleareanced to fit.
  4. Party is over. Buy a some sort of late model BMW M and enjoy the drive. Forget about this JDM hero curse. billet, 1500hp street car, plates dont exist/registered to something else. its all a farce.
  5. Thats about the only downside, limited sizes.
  6. They do well on the street, I mean nashos, I mean everyday/sometimes spirited driving. Even at the new increased price they are still very affordable.
  7. for the money, hard to beat Sailun Atrezzo RO1. 265 35 18. price was about 110 per tyre but they are now 154 per tyre. great tyre for a 180TW. unknown and underrated.
  8. surely someone jumped out of the bushes to ask questions/check out the car. this happens every time the e85 pump is picked up.
  9. Depends how bad the vibration is guess. if the balancer bolt backs out or the balancer is bouncing around it can do damage yes.
  10. if it does end up being a balancer, hopefully you havent damaged the keyway on the crank. best to get a new keyway as well.
  11. agree with @r32-25t. i had a similar issue, slapped on a new ATI, engine was smoother than ever.
  12. Selling rear muffler section as pictured. Suitable for off the shelf jap exhausts. 2 bolt flange, hangers to suit r32, hurricane muffler. Should keep you out of trouble and shut the car up. Note: it came with my car, I have never used it. I have changed exhaust setup completely so it will not work with my current setup. Price $100. Pick up only. Sydney Metro.
  13. On the grounds that they have extensive experience and a solid track record of building the fastest RBs in the country. No other workshop comes close to having as many tough RBs as this place in the Australia or possibly the world. They certainly have credibility to make comments about the platform. note: i am not a customer of theirs at all but just calling a spade a spade.
  14. If the motor is out, paint it. /end thread
  15. i agree with what you are saying, lots of variables to take into account. i was just trying to make a point People tend to jump on the bandwagon and want to include all the latest fancy new parts whether they are necessary or not. With today's technology, making 1000 or more isnt as out of reach as it used to be. Fact is there are more and more engines out there making lots of power even without braces. Toward the top end of the power spectrum, i firmly believe none of these engines are reliable no matter how well they are built or what parts are thrown into them and they are no where near as 'streetable' as the internet makes them out to be. Either way you go, grout/no grout, brace/no brace, billet/cast, it is going to cost money and expect failures - not if but when. Happy Modding.
  16. Grout fill won't hurt. It's cheap anyway so do it. If block cracks anyway what's the point of spending 2k+ on a brace? If youre pushing 400+kW in a 'street car' it aint gonna be as reliable as social media say it's gonna be anyway. *flame suit on* Thats the sport. Make bulk power and shit breaks.
  17. getting a custom fabbed one isnt much dearer than an off the shelf item.
  18. must be in good condition. In syd, happy to pay post for the right stuff.
