Reason for the front bar coming off was fitting a new intercoolerIMG_4851.thumb.JPG.5e2b87f00f2766f404453245e396917c.JPGIMG_4852.thumb.JPG.1b12420b549c1f4fb39ddcf5e9ba2379.JPGwhich is a plazmaman pro series with the 76mm core because I didn't want to modify the front bar to fit it

IMG_4853.thumb.JPG.0c7ffc752833ea9a584f5276e17d954d.JPGquick photo of new and old next to each other, i didn't realize how much bigger it was till I did this

So for what I thought was a bolt in intercooler took a lot longer to actually get on the car, the quality and mounting points were perfect but due to the extra width I had to undo the bumper support and move it out of the way and slide it all in togetherIMG_4855.thumb.JPG.5891ad1100e5196f9901b598eed75053.JPGand how close it is to the front support with it all fitted againIMG_4854.thumb.JPG.45b088bd2527286c408b7a10663adb49.JPG

Speaking of getting the front bar on that was a nightmare, I knew the r32 had less room in the front but I didnt know it was this much less.

Because I wanted to keep the factory mesh in there i had to trial fit the front bar and bend the mesh and try again, this happened about 6 times to finally get it right but was worth the effort

  • 2 weeks later...

Didn't update this last week cause all I did was the wire the vcam and flex sensor into the ecu, plug the wide band controller into the ecu and ran the wire to the boot to switch the second fuel pump

But this week I was a little more constructive IMG_4886.thumb.JPG.2c5678b60f910a407f156e7269beae42.JPGfirst took the discs off and sent them out to be machined

IMG_4897.thumb.JPG.611e9461c948db0ada023d1dced7782f.JPGback from machining and got some upgraded pads to fit as wellIMG_4929.thumb.JPG.50f9b0e38ee207f88488e73d79292d6a.JPGand all fitted

Also grabbed some braided lines and fitted them IMG_4928.thumb.JPG.94b5f5003117e9afba5dd85e1227cf71.JPGdidnt get a photo before I put them on but you can see it there

IMG_4930.thumb.JPG.fd47afb6e52b84d6f3c9722b3e5fd35f.JPGalso fitted a brand new r33 gtr master cylinder and replaced all the brake fluid,

turns out the plug for the fail light is different between 32 and 33 so will go to Nissan and see if they can supply a plug and pins set

Got a delivery the other day from Japan of corse IMG_4936.thumb.JPG.2d386248eb5641067cf762b2e968a35f.JPGIMG_4937.thumb.JPG.91ef7cc76a3d2dbc04dd8b2ca155f10b.JPGIMG_4938.thumb.JPG.aba4669831d8d3fce4d2dac7c9a9ba47.JPGand he first thing out of the box is an ard 150amp alternator, the original was only charging at 12.3v so with the extra load was only going to get worse

Didn't get photos of it installed before I refitted everything including the radiator and coolant then I rechecked the running voltage and I won't need to worry about it again IMG_4942.thumb.JPG.7644f2ef39153931576f416bb280f556.JPG

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
