Just remember that two mats missed the first shipment...........jabes you volunteered to get yours later, and there was one VSpec II mat. I have asked IM to send those that may be waiting an update and ETA for the two extra mats. Last I heard they were in a container and on a ship, so should only be a week or two away.

Apparently i am the one who missed out on the vspec ii mat, but i thought that was coming over pretty much the same time as the rest anyway due to its size.

Either way, it would be nice to hear something from IM to say that there is a delay and it is expected whenever. Not knowing what is going on is extremely frustrating, considering everyone else seems to have got theirs or getting theirs.

I asked IM to email those missing out Friday before last [22nd] with an apology and an ETA.........poor form that they haven't done it IMO.

I am sorry for the delay and their sometimes average service, we always knew [well for the last 6 weeks anyway] that somebody would miss out and have to wait. Jabes volunteered to wait for his mat, nobody with the VSpec II mats did the same so I guess IM made the choice. That side of things was completely out of my hands, not a thing I could do. The only thing I do know is that everybody will get their mats - its not a supply issue just timing - so just be a little patient and it will work itself out.

All mats had arrived a few days before Xmas except yours jabes, and one VSpec II mat [which now looks like SCRMER's] - these were coming in the very next container to leave japan. I believe that they have left japan now, but haven't yet arrived in Oz.

But I am 'a bit in the dark' about it as well because I really haven't heard any more from IM other than what I've copied and posted here. I'll ask them for an ETA on the two remaining mats [again] and see if they respond.

Reply to my query:

Hi Daniel,

I would say that the mats were put in the next container after the last batch.
In that case the container should be arriving to Melbourne some time next week.

I ordered a bunch through Amayama when this all got going

I was prepared :)

I thought we could use the original clips, looks like I am wrong haha. Happy to share the part number for those clips on Amayama? :)

I used my original ones, so Aqua yes u can.

Also got a tool pack for removing them from SuperCheap for $18. Thought about making one out of stainless I had laying around in the shed but got a bit lazy on it.

And the group buy deal never ever had or mentioned clips.

Yep I just used the original clips too and also had the same trim removal tools just to make sure I didn't bust any of them - Worked a treat

Thanks again Danny for organising this group buy

Hi Daniel,

The other mats have now arrived.

Give me a couple of days and I'll give the rest of the guys their postage quotes, as we are pretty flat out with the container atm.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
