Gee whiz how long has the engine been built for Birds?

I think Greg dropped off his motor a few weeks ago and it's already nearly done

If it lasts as long as it's taken to get built I'll be happy

To be fair, until Greg has a functional and lasting engine, as far as I'm concerned his engine build started several years ago and still isn't done...

Touché

In saying that the last engine blew becuase someone told him it would be a good idea to use an external gated standard manifold

How are you going to have e-fame when it's built by someone other than Racepace?

GTS-T is RacePace tuned so I get the e-fame benefits of being a RP customer and not being one :D

I actually want to upgrade my rear rotors to DBAs now too.. just to match the front - OCD?

Want to paint the rear caliper black while I'm at it.. too bad I'm lazy AF and working on cars takes too long

Also, come wax my car m8

Actually, if I polish it should I tape up the stickers? srs question

Wow I'm surprised the gtst hasn't fallen apart yet

lol

Very happy with my RP tune and will prolly head back there for a touch up soon. Can't fault their work myself - the only reasons I went to Barry for the R is that RP had trouble fitting the car in and then I started dreaming of 26/30 awesomeness, which Chris isn't a fan of. Love dropping in on Barry now though, it's like seeing family I've been there that many times.

R33 GTS-T is also the most reliable Skyline ever...they are notoriously difficult to kill without the aid of power poles or thieves haha

Yes polish is microabrasive, so will eventually damage/fade the stickers, if not the first time.

IMO get a professional to do the polishing (easy to fk up and hard to master) and then wax it yourself (hard to fk up and easy to master).

But then I'll need to pay final inspection 2k

If you wanna be sure to pass the scrutiny of those walking past your car with an electron microscope in hand then you probably fork out for FI

For everything else, there's ma...some other detailer.

Probably

Head is back though, which he's porting and polishing now

So machinist isn't an excuse anymore haha

Should see the fuel system he's putting in the 34R :O

Reckon you'd get free lunch from Baz?

So your gtst must be low powered and running a power fc then

I'll win the bet

Whether he coughs up or not is a different story

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
