don't listen to the crowd, its your car and it can look how you want it to look.

they all told me to get rid of the rust in the datsun too :)

Don't listen to this man, he owns two yellow cars :(

yeah and some people have already started moddin their cars while it sits in the holding yard till it can be shipped...

/me looks at lwells...

*sigh*

btw you guys gettin GTR's from japan would do well to grab the VIN numbers off your cars n run em thru the GTROC japan registry, if you're lucky you might find your ex owner :)

Bah leave the wing !!! It gives the whingers something to look at when you tear off infront of them :):(

If you don't mind me asking, what sorta price did it cost landed?

17-20k?

20-23k?

23-26k?

Im going to take a guess of say......... $18,800

You will be happy with Prestige's service Steve

somewhere between $19k - $22k. sounds like too much?
I guess the only way to know is a few mths after you have got it and driven it to see what the condition is really like. It looks pretty neat in the 2 pics shown above.

As many others say, leave $3-5k aside just for general maintenance and it'll last you years !!

Their was a nice article in 1 of the HPI mags (issue 40 something) on the easiest, cheapest way to get good power out of a GTR for drag racing. Might be worth a read.

Congrats on the purchase mate. I've had my R32 GT-R for a little while now and can I just say it's depthless. I don't think I will ever get bored of the car or ever really completely understand it!

And if you are taking it on track (it's an R32 GT-R... you MUST!) leave the wing on! I have a feeling it would work pretty well on track.

Don't count on it being here and on the road in 4 months. There's all types of hassles yet. Sorry to be a bummer but just a little warning. I bought mine at the start of July last year and din't even lay eyes on it until March of this year. Then the fun starts.

Anyway, having said that, well done and you'll never look back!

also, what exactly do they change when they do compliancing? any r32 gtr owners like to share some info?

Side intrusion bars, drivers side mirror, fuel filler restrictor, dashboard dimmer, child restraints plus a few other things under the 15 year rule. My seatbelts, sunvisors, etc all stayed and I didn't need side indicators or a high mount brake light. Should set you back around $1500.00. The big problem is that it's getting hard to find a 15 year engineer that will sign off for you if you did the work yourself, at least here in Vic it is.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
