Yep, thats exactly what it is. Just changes the signal.

The problem is, its very easy to go too far and the car can't be driven at low speeds because the throttle is so sensitive. So it takes a bit to find the happy medium. It has like 40 preset levels which is dumb. It also has an eco mode which is like the car is being pushed by 4 midgets.

I'm guessing it's still an alternative as opposed to forking out big money and re-tuning and re-calibrating computers and things etc. Still cool how they still use and do such things.

Fair enough. I guess the important thing is that you are in control and can set it up the way you want it. Which makes a big difference I would think.
