Not much info about this on the net, tried GTR.co.uk and no one could help me. My question is will (F: 19×10.5J -3mm; R:19×10.5J -3mm) on 275/35 fit on a BCNR33 thats no too low (coilovers) and has heavily rolled guard front and back? Also have V36 discs if that matters.

Active garage did (F: 19×10.5J -1mm; R:19×10.5J -3mm) on a BNR32.

I wouldn't have thought 19x10.5 -1 would fit on 32 GTR. I have 18x10 +15 or +18 can't remember, and they are just inline with the guards on my 32.

33 guards are bigger but I think you would need a bit negative camber to make the above sizes fit. Could be wrong tho....

Yes i did, didn't see anyone put -3 offset 10,5J 19's on a BCNR33! Nothing even close to that spec!

If you look at the biggest, most negative offset wheels that people have managed to fit on a 33GTR and look at the words around the post, like "rolled guards", "tight squeeze", "negative camber" and so on, you can probably work out what the likelihood of achieving your goal is.

Been trying, not really seen anything beyond 10.5j +11. Active recently did 11j on a BCNR33, sadly they won't say what the offset is, guarding that info that like they are nuclear launch code's!!

So this the Active Garage car i'm talking about and the look and rims i wan't. I know this car has Z-tune guard but mine are pulled to around this spec.

If you are dead set on a certain diameter and width of wheel/tyre combination you can work out the offset for yourself.

Buy a set of tyres in the size you want. Remove a wheel, support the axle with a jack and put the tyre in as far as it will go until you are sure it will not foul the suspension under any circumstances.

Measure the offset.

Bolt the dream wheels on and modify the guards (not the suspension) to suit.

Will stick out of guards, pump/flare or get stancenation points by running 235 wide tyres and -5° camber.

Don't plan on doing that, 275 tire's like the one above. Already found a BCNR33 Running 10.5 -1 with minimal Camber and 265's and his guard were hardly pulled compared to how mine are.

265's don't belong on a 10.5 wide rim, they're a 9.5 ideally or 10.0 wide maximum. 10.5's should be run on 285 or 295's.

All because the wheel is on the car, doesn't mean it fits. Compromising on the correct tyre width to run a wide wheel or silly offset is crazy.

The 265/35/18 Dunlop 03Gs im running are rated by the manufacturer as fine for 10.5s (but that is the limit). I checked a few others and they were also ok, but OP will need to do his own checks since he's running 19s.

Agree with comment about getting the right wheel tho - my rims are +25 and rub on the outside of the guard liners near the guard lip at the track. Yeah its a 32, but does a 33 have 28mm more space?

33's can handle around 10mm more, and the rubbing just means your car is sitting pretty low. And that active garage BNR32 i posted proves that 32's can handle low offset. Anyhow my guards were rolled heavily by the previous owner, running 9.5j with 265's currently with unknown offset and 3cm spacers! :( Just after that look that active garage has on their GTR's, just need to figure out what that is. Its got to be more that -1 on 10.5j because they have that on the BNR32 so the Black BCNR33 has to be even lower offset. Also bought a set of roll centre adjusters and cusco camber arms if i need to dial in some negative camber.

Mate, don't you know the stancenation rules? Tyre shoulders must be sitting at least 2cm inside the wheel lip.

I pretty much hate stance, not after that. Just to fill out my guards while using 275 on 10.5j what can be hardly seen as any kind of tire strech. Would maybe consider 285 but my prefered tire doesn't come in that size.

Te 37 10.0 + 20 with a 265/35x18 tyre on a R33 GTR. That is without hektik camber to try put a square block into a round hole.

10.0+ 12 with the same tyre, the rear will rub under hard acceleration and hitting a dip in the road.

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.

    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
