Shoota_77
You can buy a girdle if you can find one. It will need to be machined and then line bored to match your crank. It has nothing to do with the bores, just the crank. 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7780794 Share on other sites
Duncan
Yep definitely needs machining to match the block 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7780797 Share on other sites

Duncan
absolutely, the block and cradle are a pair. Even when they come together from the the same engine they should still be measured and potentially machined to make sure the main bearing clearances are correct. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7780959 Share on other sites

There's quite a few on facebook sale pages at the moment. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7781610 Share on other sites

I'd either buy a different block (probably cheapest option) or buy a new cradle if that's an option (I assume its aftermarket and a different style). If you choose the latter you need to get the block tunnel bored which I don't really like in these engines because it moves the crank relative to the oil pump Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7781979 Share on other sites

Shoota_77
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure you need to buy the Spool girdle in conjunction with their main cap kit which is another $1600 or so. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. You can get the mains on their own but not the girdle on it's own. Pr0x1mity
I'll have a spare bottom end soon if you want it fairly cheap. It's got new bearings and stuff. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/467094-rb30-girdle/#findComment-7783592 Share on other sites
