Just measured it, it's 134mm. OEM requirements is about 143mm.

Looks like might need the Dayco 115847 instead.

Fuarking.

well, FWIW that is the size that the GKtech adapter is designed for (134-143). I was going to say I have one for half price but looks like they are on sale for $19 atm anyway.

However, taking into account the feedback above on aftermarket couplings (I've got no experience with them, but surprised if they don't work out of the box) and I saw something about the Dayco coupling fouling on the GKTech adapter...it might be best just to go OEM

After all, we know you are keeping this car for 20 years and continuing to say how you want to sell it and buy the new BMW electric hover m2 instead.

Thanks for the thought anyhow Duncan!

I will just return the fan clutch, I've already messaged the seller on eBay however no response.

Might just give it till about Tuesday and do an eBay return, then cry a little and order a brand new OEM unit.

Sitting in the garage. More than welcome to see if it fits, was working fine only removed to suit dry sump setup.

Might take you up on the offer on the fan hub fits.

Will do Google tonight, intensely lol.

If not 2x options, both equally costly.

1. New OEM hub

2. FFG shroud and 16" Spal fan.

Don't think so, part is 21U082-05U00 and they're f**king $800+ now !

It's "nearly" the same 21082-75T02

Wonder what the real difference is

Come get it and have a play. If it fits, great, if not return it or sell it for me. 🤣

Any chance you can measure the overall height from the hub to the top side of the fan?

I feel that they're nearly the same, perhaps different height (GT-R being probably shorter than the GTS-t one, however I'm running essentially a Koyo radiator for a GT-R).

Hmm mean from the top side of the fan blade to the base of the clutch, ie if you sat the fan flat on a surface, how high would be be overall.

100mm overall

95 for the height of the blades

I'll grab it, just measured mine and seems about the same height 98mm or so.

Considering the fan blade is identical and the water pump on either motor are the same it should be good.

I'm going to assume you want to get rid of the clutch and fan blade together?

I'm happy to purchase a fan blade if there's one surplus. Mine has started to get little stress cracks and could do with replacement. Just saying😉

Sounds like we a threesome in a non homosexual way.

Yeah clutch and fan together. Fan blades would be lucky to be 5000 kms old.

PM me your number bro, you can't receive PMs for some reason lol.

Thanks again @Piggaz, shit box now has a working fan clutch/hub/coupler

Weirdly enough the RB25 one is higher than the RB25, so this means the fan blade is now even closer to the radiator shroud!

I have a out 6mm before the blades kiss the top flat part of the shroud. Might trim off that flat part if it causes any issues.

    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
    • Well, I was using ECUTalk software if that helps? Not sure if that only can see engine codes? Is there any other software I could give a try? Or any way I can get a blink code?
    • I never touched it, it should have. I'll try to give it an adjust. With IACV plugged in, it idles at around 1120RPM on average. Max 1200 RPM, Minimum 1025RPM before it starts dropping right before stalling. Took the data from the Nistune logs.
    • Thats what im trying to solve bro  no one with aem tuner experience would advice  much appreciate
