I put a 3582R on my RB30 Stagea but used .63 rear for max take off (heavy wagon) but would have preferred a .82 for a little more grunt on the track. Today I would use a modern turbo. Unusually a Wellington workshop did a back to back comparison on the same car (Skyline with RB30) and got the following results:

.63 rear at 18 psi = 350kw

.82 rear at 18 psi 375kw

I would suggest the .82 for you as it would be easy to get 400kw out of it and for a street car would drive better than with a 1.00 rear.

PS just noticed you only want 400hp not kw. You will do that with a GT3076 easily.

Thanks for the reply and your comments. What rev range will the gt3582r start spooling

This is with the .63 rear on my car -with VCT, Link ECU, mac valve, 50mm Synapse wastegate, Sinco manifold :

i have a borg warner s300sx with a .91 twin scroll housing on my rb25/30, and am getting a bar at 3700ish rpm, it makes 500hp on 14psi on pump gas.

and cost less than 1k NZD landed

What website was that

Did the physical bulk of this unit cause much packaging/fitment issues?

What manifold?  Pics would probably tell a lot for people contemplating the same unit.

Nah it's not too bad, I am running a sinco twin scroll manifold for a rb30, they make the collector lower for the 30.

A walk around of my setup.

i tried to add a pic, but for some reason its not loading :/

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
