R32 GTR 1000cc Injector Data Help

If that's the case your existing tune is really really bad. You don't base the setting on what you already have - 100% represents 440cc and the setting change is done from there, end of story. I used to run Sard 1000cc EV1 injectors with zero idle issues with short pulse width on a D jetro power fc - setting for these were 44 - 45%.

If you are needing to be higher % you are just rescaling your entire fuel map richer.

You need to get on the dyno for a tune badly. Without a wideband it's all pointless.

I second this. Please get a wideband or throw it on a dyno with a decent tuner.

Nah. You've got the tuning tool (the handset). Buy a wideband instead, use that to adjust the injector settings until you've got the scaling right (for the top end) and the dead time right (to get the bottom end right). Should only take a few minutes on the road with 2 people. Err on the side of rich at the low end, and aim for ~11.5:1 at higher loads. You just need to be cautious in how much load you put on in case it is lean when you start - but you can almost certainly set the scaling to where you know it is both able to run and quite rich from the various values you quoted earlier.

Then, assuming your original map has the cruise and transitions sorted out, you should be gold. The wideband will tell you whether it's any good or not.

Is there something you wanted explained or was there something you were curious about? 

There are plenty of resources out there if you want to learn about fuel or timing maps etc.

Should be no worries im sitting on the dyno now  in a GTR with a powerfc and the same injectors, im happy to do up to 2200cc's.

  • Latest Posts

    • VCAM requires a special intake cam in order to be able to actuate the cam phaser. So you are limited in your selection there, usually you want to match your intake and exhaust cams to some extent. Turbo engines are not the same as naturally aspirated engines. Once the engine is on boost it matters less if your VE is tailing off when you can just increase the boost solenoid duty cycle to compensate. Most turbos also have significant backpressure which can favor less valve overlap than you'd expect at high RPM compared to an NA engine as the pulse tuning effect of exhaust runner length is competing with the exhaust backpressure causing internal EGR. It's likely that these effects are why the factory exhaust cam is said to be lower duration and lower lift than the intake cam. I would love for there to be public data comparing the effect of staggering cams in either direction (more duration on intake vs exhaust and vice versa) for the RB26. As far as I can tell nobody has done it.
    • 👍 I've got the conversion the Estonian guys on ebay, I guess there are other ways to contact them but all roads probably lead to the same people. I was a bit dubious about sending that much but they were quick and it works perfectly, the only thing I'm not impressed with is the english buttons they supply aren't a great match colourwise to the stock ones I did the install based on the US MY51 Q70 2013 manual, close enough to work out how to pull the console apart without breaking anything and the unit is direct plug in. Some functions are lost like the passenger parking camera and the japanese lady yelling to tell you how to parallel park. Frankly, the frustration for us with the jp menus was since Kel and I share the car, memorising the path to connect audio and then phone every time we change drivers was a pain. I've got a thread on my fuga here:

    • So you've found a bunch of info, or you found nothing? You're not being clear. It seems like you have a lot of reading and searching left to do. You need to ask specific questions for people to help you. If you haven't found answers to your questions, then it's likely that no one else has done it and you'll be a pioneer.
    • Drill holes in the muffler or put spacers between the joints for similar effect.
