But, do I have to?

Probably better investment to put your $1.5m through the pokies.

Looks like they took out the extra zero on the price of that R34 and it's now at market (still stupid) value. If only old mate with the V6 Brockie would do the same thing (twice).

You see R34 GTRs listed for 200-300k are they really selling for these prices? Kinda seems like the same ones listed all the time.

Even with R33 GTSTs looking at gumtree. You have an auto with a bitsa interior for 35k. Another one needs an engine rebuild and asking 24k. And then you have a stock in better than average condition for 45k.

Nobody is ever going to pay these prices.

No-one in Aus/NZ would pay that much, because they remember when a turbo Skyline/Silvia was a cheap but awesome alternative to the mediocre shit sold here locally at the time.

I'm sure over in USA there are enough trust fund kids who will have their R34 GTR, whatever the cost

Yeah that is true.

I haven't seen any Australian auction prices for 34s. Did see a r33 gtst series 2 go for 21k at Lloyd's the other week.

Definitely seems like people selling their Skylines that have sat in the front yard for the last 10 years are a little delusional.

I might end up in that category if I can't get mine started soon....

I know wati got! no low ballers, also no test drives (due to no starting). Ran when I parked it 5 years ago. Period correct mods include some shit wheels I bought for 400  bucks 15 years ago. Only been crashes 3 times

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
