Tryed a search but didn't have much luck, can anyone point me to a site or tell me the difference between the NUR Spec R34 GTR and the standard models.. Also I am right in saying the only difference between Mspec & Stock Vspecs is the softer suspension and leather interior...

That is correct there are on 50 M-Spec made in 2001 and 1000 Nur (75% M-Spec and 25% V-Spec II) made in 2002.

Off the top of my head yes basically same as the V-Spec II but different suspension internal damper setup though same spring rate and slightly smaller stabilizers...springs and shock absorbers are also gold in colour. Champagne gold colour which also follows through into the interior stitching...also the steering wheel dia is 3mm larger not that you will notice that .

PM Rezz (Justin) I lend him a couple of my Skyline books and I'm sure the M-Specs are covered in them.

mesh, i'll give you the catalogues for both the regular and the Nur GTR's and you can see the differences for yourself...

Thanks Shan, I'm gunna hold you to that :D

We're sort of thinking about looking for a NUR 34.. and I guess just wanted to clarify whether 1 particular NUR model, had more "exclusivity/rare" appeal than aother.. What I did find is that the VspecII Nur had the carbon bonnet and harder suspension, where the Mspec had the softer tuned suspension and NO carbon bonnet..

while looking out for cars for j-spec, I came across a White R34 GTR VSpec II Nur that next to no km on the clock since manufacture... Came with a factory CF bonnet and every extra imaginable. I can try and see if its still available if you want.

I'll bring the catalogues for both GTR's to the meeting on the 19th... you can check them out there.

meshmesh - i hope u find something. i couldnt find anything. The motor in my 33 is a 34N1 i dont know if that means is from a NUR SPEC or what ? i couldnt even find anything about the turbos mine aparantly has RR581's ? which is the larger of the N1's ?

any info on these NUR SPEC 34's would be tops

If I may...

Only BNR34 N1 and Nur use the same turbo spec:

Compressor: C106 (normal BNR34 is C100)

Turbine: GT-25 (same as BNR34)

Turbine wheel: steel (normal BNR34 as you know is ceramic)

A/R: 0.60/0.64 (normal BNR34 is 0.53/0.48)

Boost is same 0.93bars

Yeah but the M-Spec has leather :D

Im looking into trimming my interior black leather with red stitching. Anyone know any good leather trimmers in Sydney? I saw a photo of this in GTR magazine and it looks good.

If I was going for a late model 34 I would try for a M-Spec in champagne gold. Great car and a more practical daily driver.

Thanks for that link GTS_DUY .. I tried the Nissan jp site, but even with the translation I couldn't understand jack.

sewid, you reckon the Mspec ha and that limited colour which I think is called "millenium Jade", your the second person to say that. Isn't the Mspec for "no offence" soft coks.. ? with it's saloon type suspension? I mean I really love the leather, only wish the Vspec came with leather, as I believe it has the Carbon bonnet where the Mspec doesn't.. I guess though we'll be happy with either of them.

PS: We have a mate that owns a Nissan Dealership here in Vic, and plan on asking him whether Nissan AU would import one in for us? Anyone have any ideas on that?

    • Hi. This is just my curiosity because iam sure the tuner figure something out...but either way i want to ask. The "problem" is that the Nistune ECU (Stagea FW and RB25DET NEO from Stagea) sees many times the speed than the speedo does(he says the speedo show 120 km/h - correct speed and the ECU shows like 510km/h ) I told him that this car/tranny getting speed from rear diff. If iam not mistaken the RB25DET NEO "need" to see tranny speed sensor? (my tranny has the plug for it). So couple of "question" If he connects/wire the speed sensor to the tranny...are the signals gonna intervene and if...what if he disconnects the rear diff one and the speedo stops working? Or the "new" sensor from the tranny "take over" and will not going need the one from diff? As i said i know he figure/get that done...iam just curious to know what are the solutions 🙂
    • Your IACV is set to idle too low. You need to adjust it via the screw Duncan mentioned. From memory it should be 650rpm with the valve electrics unplugged. What is it trying to idle at with the IACV plugged in?
    • Ahhh, I need the whole head unit. I definitely needed to roll back through and review your setup, ha ha! Neat setup they have going on. I just need a full double din head unit. But I want good and responsive. I might have to review what the likes of pioneer have out these days.
    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is may e 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Dose anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
    • Sorry I haven't been following all the detail, so you may have tried this. Does it idle with the tiniest bit of throttle you can add? You've mentioned the IACV, does it have an AAC valve and have you adjusted it at all (ie, screw the idle adjust screw all the way in, then back it out a couple of turns until idle is stable)?
