only have to give a refund if it is faulty within 21 days of purchase...after that it is either replacement or repair...depending on the warranty provided by the company...so a small appliance that has say a 1 year warranty....if it breaks within 21 days then the customer can have a refund. after 21 days...swapover or store credit...

something like a washing machine, tv...espensive stuff.....after 21 days it is repair...through the service agent.

all depends on the warranty provided by the company as to whether its in store replacement....or repair...

also depending how we feel we may take some stuff back after 21 days if we know we can get our money back from the company....but depends on the customers attitude and how i or whoever else feels.

yeah that's what I meant pretty much - "out of the box" faulty

On a similar note, I know someone at the moment who bought a fridge from Harvey Norman and it arrived with dents. They've refused to compensate her (ie. in the same way you'd normally get a pretty good discount if you bought a "scratch and dent" whitegood). They've only said that they'll replace the fridge but they have none in stock and and a new one could take weeks or months and in the meantime she's not allowed to keep the dented one. So she would have to go with no fridge :(

Moral of the story, Harvey Norman are wankers :)

yeah ive heard alot of bad stories from harveys. customers complaining about them not having items in stock...not being able to buy across departments (eg buy a computer and a fridge at the same time) etc etc etc.

your friend...i would say her best bet would be to try get a swapover and chose another...i figure she probly wouldn't wana but if she needs a fridge then she needs a fridge. usually a order should only take max of two weeks so yeah.

in terms of being compensated with a discount or something...thats understandable that they wont...but weeks or months is a bit of a joke.

yeah a DOA is a refund. Slightly damaged anything should be heavy discount. A faulty one should be Repair or Replace.

Buy a slushie when you want one - screw buying a spesh machine. Oh! you can get burboun ones at the Nats. How bout a Magic Bullet on high if you really want home made.

Have I cross threaded here?? Slushie or fridge...cant remember....

I watched a game of Slamball at the club this week (I think it was Fox) and it was great to watch. I would like to see more of it, especially the faceoffs where they smash their opponent into the hoop board (Im certain there is a correct word for that board, but I'm a netballer and don't know much about basketball)

Thats' very cool indeed. I think we in the ACT could manage somethin BIG!!!

It's very cool driving with heaps of lines. Checking out the cars and chatting with the owners. There is so many lines in Canberra that aren't on SAU.

I'd like to do a bit of OZ.

EDIT: If there is 2 or 3 others that could get a few weeks (2-4) off in late Feb early March 09 :D

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
