Does anyone know if any car audio type places stay open late on Friday nights?

My head unit has stopped working and since it's fairly new I assume it's just a fuse or a wire or something but I have NFI about stereos. And I have a loooong drive this weekend that is going to kill me without tunes :(

Yeah sure I know a place:

very good audio stuff

Arrggggggghhh! I'm just waiting for you to lure me to your car on sunday to "look at something" and then locking the doors and making me listen to that on repeat!!! well I won't be fooled... maybe..

Stephan, thanks heaps but I'm at work until midnight :(

I might just have to go the ipod and earphones to help with the boredom of the Hume

$59 for 5L Shell! :)

I got some today from Repco... was actually the same price so all good!!

Hehe I will have to lure you in another time. Shall be on call for the weekend.

Any nice cafes in Canberra to chill at? If I can't get my oil cooler in time for MDTC then I shall just chill in Canberra until dinner time as I'm there for the weekend anyways. Needs to have good coffee!!

Hmmm dunno where good coffee is. Are you going to be in the city?

I got some today from Repco... was actually the same price so all good!!

I forgot to say..... with NRMA card you get a discount, so it was actually $48!

its not on a roadway, but jsut off a main road which is bunda st. there are cafes everywhere there....but the coffee list there is awesome.

5/6 Garema Place, Canberra ACT 2600 - cafe essen

punch that into google maps and have a look, and as i said thats the main cafe strip in the city, so u can have a look around and see what you want.

Whats the dealio with personalised number plates? I know that 'AB 123' and 'YAB 12C' sequenced number plates are a one off number plate, but what about the non-sequence ones? Is there an annual fee to be made to keep it? I just want one with 3 characters.

Yeah (well, how slim are we talking?).

I got my plates remade in "purple" (more like blue, f**kers) slimline. It appears that only one of them is actually "slim" though.

It was slim enough to fit on the bottom lip of my front bar and not overhang

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
