HEL braided brake lines. Fine for Dickson

E-bay or anywhere you can get genuine for 32 GTR

Try HEL Performance Australia. Just Under $170 for the set

What year is your car Judd? I've been wondering if I should get new lines for the Skywags... They are 24-25 yrs old and looking a little crusty.

Works fine but...

mine is 11/93

I just bought a HEL set last week. Was 180ish or so, though that's for a gtst. Will install later this week :)

Oh really :/

Difference of $140 from R32 gts-t to GT-R??

LOL

Also, Didnt see if anyone came out to look today...but here is some quick footage of this morning

Nice... i like how you kept the angle up that tabletop to not roost on that kid. Slower, but not chucking rocks at some kids face.

So discovered yesterday arvo I could do with some new brake lines.

A: Can anyone suggest a set of braided lines that is decent and won't send me broke? Saw some on eBay but not sure of quality

B: How does Dickson feel about them, I know I can get adr approved etc but will they be ok to pass? My last 4wd had them, they were engineered, but the vehicle came that way so I'm note sure if they just had them engineered with the suspension just to be safe?

Dont forget, if you get HEL, make sure they put the adr printed bit on the line.

It is an option you have to ask for, no extra cost, but make sure.

Thanks for the heads up

I got black lines, and the adr number is printed on a clear sleeve, in black....... >_<

Oh another thing.....

I took bubs to hydrotherapy this morning, after i left some guy came around to my house ( the missus was home ) with dodgy bullsht stories.

I think he knocked on the door cos he saw no car and the front window open with the aircon outlet.

He did it yesterday too. It seems he has looked at our mail and tried to guess the name of my missus and failed. Totally sus.

He is driving some old shtbox khaki 4wd ute with a cage on the back.

If i see him he will have to explain what he is up to.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
