Anyone know a good place to buy some Michelin (265)/(275)/35/18. Under $650 for a pair or AD08 or something close excluding federals as theyre a nightmare in the rain.

I got a good price online from Ozzy tyres for my Michelin Pilot Supersports and so far I think they're a fantastic tyre.

A 265/35/18 was around $1600 for 4 including sending to Canberra. Wasn't much difference in their price compared to tire rack after you factor shipping, customs and quarantine fees etc.

"How much were they for the set, if you don't mind me asking?"

I did some hunting around in the end Bob Jane at Fyshwick were the best at $1340 all up, as I said I'm very happy with them.

You have the RSR yeah Richard?

I'm running just the standard 595's and I think my camber probably pays a good part in shit traction.

Best thing about them though is that they hold well in the dry and they have lasted me for nearly 2 years!

Im running the RSR dan and i can't fault them. Even in the wet.

Okay folks.

It is going to be an absolute nightmare financially and physically to get the 34 registered in Victoria so I think I am just going to sell it real cheap to someone in the ACT if they want it. We only really need one car here in Melbourne anyway. What do GTT's go for these days?

I do like having fresh breth though.

The issue with rego was that i just wanted it in Vic rego so it would be easier to sell.

I was initially told that if it was an interstate car with current rego i don't need an inspection, i just need an appointment to hand in plates and they would honour my rego. Today i find out that because it was an import never registerd in vic they dont have my compliance plate on record so it will need to be a full rego inspection and ID check, which i would fail because i am in no position to spend money putting my car back to stock just to get it into another state just to make selling it easier.

I will just leave it in ACT rego and sell it cheap enough to sell it quick but still not make a massive loss.

I barely drive it here in melbourne so it's just dead money really...still...it will be sad.

Also selling mine Andy ( can't plug it enuff :P)

Do a search on carsales anywhere from $7k to a very hopefull $25k

Mine sits squarely in the middle ground (also known as the kill zone !)

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
