I'm over the clubbing thing nowadays

no offence to the smokers out there but all I get out of it is coughing my guts up from all the cigarette smoke

clubbing does have it's place for me at times... I may go back for a bit more once the smoking ban happens (I bet all the bloody clubs are going to be empty because of it)

would rather sit around in a pub or something and have a drink with people

Just wondering if any of you still go out to Canberras so called "clubs"?? In the right mood, I like a bit of Lot33 myself. And I really HATE Mooseheads.... Anyone else got favourite haunts or hates??
i used to go the Lot heaps when i lived in Kingston...then Zesties for breakfast!

I'm a bit over clubs these days unless i'm really pissed lol

It's fun to do every now and then, but not every weekend..

i prefer nights like last friday - we went to the city bowls club for an 80's trivia night, had a table of about 10ppl, got smashed, had an awesome time!

me mark and ewen go out quite a bit (well, marks out every friday and saturday of every weekend ) and its ok... kinda getting over it though.

last weekend was awesome though... guess it comes down to how drunk i am :)

FoX and Frink, you guys are nutters... I dont know how you can go out to the clubs almost every weekend...

In my opinion the whole night club thing sux... I would much rather do something like last night at P.Js - nice pub, good beers and topless chicks YES PLEASE!!

Sorry, I didnt think of asking on here... It was at P.J. Oreilly's last night, the "Bombshells topless review", lets just say that I told a little white lie and I got to have some very very very very very nice "assets" in my face!

Yeah sadly enough mooseheads would be the biggest club in Canberra :P

It would be a very close call between 'Moose' and Acadamy.

INSOMNIA!!

Whos going to Amber Savage tonight? Last time i saw her she went off.

Also who is going to Utopia on the ANZAC day long w/e?

And the MOS hard nrg tour will be here the weekend after utopia @ the rock climbing centre.

I was at mooseheads before and after it burned down. downstairs has definately improved, but upstairs is shithouse. too many pink shirt poofters and bad mullet cuts.

But i've finished uni so hardly go out anymore, which sucks. stupid job

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
