']The ceffy doesnt have a bov

it has an external venting wastegate. sure its not legal but its set up like that for track use. it sounds nothing like a bov or flutter ffs

It was hardly on boost, we (people around Mikey's car) heard it as it was leaving the complex...

hardly on boost = lies

its needs to be on or close to full boost for the gate to open or it doesnt work.

Adrian... my honest opinion is absolute shit all... not due to sau but due to the way the event was organised by cabin in some areas, ill be emailing jason fro andra this week and il pm you a copy

Im with you on this tj, the event wasnt organised very well, Get to the gates at dead on 12 and they hadnt open yet, had to wait for a good 15 to 20mines then there was ahold up took about another 20-30mins to get inside, *i heard that some clubs money didnt go through and they had to pay again i belived this inc sauwa*

anywayz i get to the gate tell the person who i am, and she just give me tickets and sends me off, unlike last yr were they gave u a map and told u where each car club was, this yr i had no idea where anyone was. i couldnt find antilag so i was force to park my car else where and i only found sauwa cuz i look where the RH9 GTR was.

Also there was no supercruise :) that was something which i really like about dc last yr, too bad it wasnt there this year.

I think last year it was run much better, didnt like the classes that much but hay it can only get better from here :)

I think overall the event was bigger and better, but I agree there is alot to still improve on, including club setups, speed of entry and scrutineering. I get to see things from the organisers point of view, and trust me we're working our asses off, but with better organisation things would have been much better.

Please feel free to provide me or TJ some feedback, and then we can pass it on to the organisers to make sure next year is even better.

Cheers

Paul

Yes it did Glen proving HP means very little.Steve Lee puts together a mighty engine so i cant wait to see this GTS on drag rubber.

The one thing ive seen working with trev cars is how little it takes to run fast like the white L34 Torana(Full street trim etc) at last fast friday, ran 10.9 on treaded tyres with 383rwhp but was over a very broad band.

The Hyperdrive 180SX that competed at Combat has been tickled and put-down 477.7hp at the treads this morning. Shame we didnt get time to do that before combat as I am sure it would have slipped into the 10's for sure. It was a mission and a half getting the RB25 box in there - didnt even know if that was going to work out until the night before!

The point I am getting to is that in terms of 'RESPECT' here comes another Jap Rice Rocket that can idle in traffic and throw a 10sec 1/4 down. They will start learning there's more to life than pushrods!

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
