Has anyone tried or heard anything about the Nismo GT LSD Pro? Saw it on nengun.com heres the description?

Designed as a multipurpose LSD for city driving, with increased power for track or autocross conditions. Constructed with four pinion gears for improved strength ( stock has two pinions ). Plate type 1.5-way LSD can be converted to 2-way LSD. 3 stage intial torque selective can be adjusted without disassembling the LSD.

whats a pumpkin!??!

hahaha.. i love my fuel pump... its sooo horny!!! :D  and you agree thomas, cause you want the same one :(

ahh, I still remember the first time you started your car with me around. I was all, "whoa, you have an aftermarket fuel pump don't ya?" and you were all, "umm I dunno, I don't know these things. I'm just a girl" lol :P silly girly :)

ummm... you know when you see trucks and their "diff's" (the big round bit inbetween the axles), well the diff is inside that big round bit, and the big round bit is sometimes called a pumpkin. :)

Well that's my basic understanding of it.

GT LSD's and GT LSD Pro's are only really suitable for track work or drifting etc... no use putting one in a street car as they are very klunky and harsh to drive around town at low speeds. They are mechanical siffs operated by clutches.

Don't get me wrong they are fantastic diff's however a little overkill for a street driven daily.

hmm Id have to disagree tosh !!! :P

fair enough a 2way would be way to brutal in its transition to full lock for the streets but a 1way or even a 1.5 way wouldnt be TOO bad.....

by the way whats a mechanical siff ????? hahaha :(

yeah... what is the differences between all the lsds mentioned, and does anyone know anything about alsds?

it's like this:

1 way clutch pack LSD engages the LSD function under acceleration ONLY. (ie. acts like a normal diff under deceleration/braking - wheels can spin at different speeds).

1.5 way clutch pack LSD engages fully under acceleration, but only partially engages under braking. (makes it easier to turn corners under brakes - less understeer)

2 way clutch pack LSD fully engages under both acceleration and braking. great for drifiting, not so good for going around tight, slow speed corners (big understeer).

I imagine the ALSDs have an ecu to control the amount of drive being apportioned between the left and right wheels. dunno much about them though.

BTW, just because a diff is a 1 way, or a 2 way or whatever doesn't mean it's got to be savage. the amount of pre-load on the gears can be adjusted to make them more liveable. 1 way diffs are generally popular in FWD cars. RWDs mostly go for 1.5ways or 2 ways if drifting is the go. 1.5 way is a good compromise for a street/track day car. providing it's set-up ok it shouldn't be too bad around town, will still be a bit clunky though.

thanks richard!! think i'll go 1.5 way.. i wouldn't mind going 2 way but my dad drives the car abit and i don't want to put him through hell, just so i know my car is safe :

the alsd diff does have a computer... but somethings up with mine  i thinkt he pfc and the computer don't talk well so my alsd gets disabled.. i also think the physical setup for alsd is different from an lsd.. so i need a diff that fits into the alsd slot...

omg.. did that make ANY sense :

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
