DBA4963 is for R33 Gtst and is equivalent to RDA7693. This has around 54 or 55mm offset which in earlier discussion is the wrong offset for Stagea S2.

RDA954 has 49mm offset which should be the CORRECT offset for Stagea S2. It comes in 296mm so what you need to do is shave off (machine) 6mm off the OD so it becomes 290mm.

my series 1 rear discs are quite worn and lipped causing drag and heat. I need to replace them but don't really want to replace the calipers as money is a bit tight. Which discs off which model fit? I don't mind if I need to get them trimmed down a bit as that would be cheap to do!!!

for series 1 WGNC34 stagea, read the first post of this thread.

front DBA4909 or RDA909S equivalent

rear DBA4908 or RDA908S equivalent

need to shave off the diameter of the rear 908 as per 1st thread.

but as per SK's comment, you need to read a few pages of the thread to find out if shaving off 30mm off the rear 908 will cause cracking or issue or not...

which RDA's were they?

the RDA 954?

allegedly they are slightly different offset?

Pretty sure they were 7693S (R33 GTsT front slotted) as still sold in the group buy on SAU. They were quite a different offset; I think RS73 said 5mm. They were at least this far off and no hope of making them work on the front of a S2 4wd auto stag without an equivalent spacer, which I personally don't fancy.

I just ordered a set of RDA954S (standard slotted) so I will let the thread know how they go!

Edit: Whoops missed a few posts here... replied above already oh well

Thanks

The RDA954's fit Series 2 AWD Stag calipers without machining down the OD (no rubbing or clearance issues). We have fitted them to one car already and will fit them to my Stag soon.

thanks for the update mate :)

how much?

is this front or rear?

- QFM HPX (Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but very low dust and rotor wear) are $119 per set front or rear.

- QFM A1RM (Ferodo DS2500 or Bendix SRT Equivalent) are $179 per set front or rear.

Fore more information checkout www.qfmperformance.com

Both front and rear A1RM are on the shelf. Both HPX fronts and rears are on back order. But we've just been supplying other brands of pads where required, like Bendix GCT, TRW Lucas or Acre.

Really? At 6mm oversize? That's interesting... maybe I'll try fitting them up before I get them machined then...

Are these the right dimensions for RDA954's ?

DIAMETER = 296MM

HEIGHT = 49MM

THICKNESS = 24MM

* NISSAN 350Z TOURING

* NISSAN STAGEA M35

I thought they were 30mm thick like lots of other nissans. I thought I measured mine as just under 28mm. O well I might need to check them again (For a 1999 S2 Stagea RS4).

OK dont try and read through that thread after you have just finished night shift!!

I am currently swapping the brakes around on my Stagea.

I want to take the brembo's (R33 GTR) off it, fit stock S1 RS4 brake's on it.

How am i gonna go?

Does anyone know if the 33 GTR and 34 Gt-t brake's are interchangable?

  • 4 weeks later...

just bought some 2 pot rear calipers off a r33gtst for my series1 stagea, will get discs and pads next and then fit them. that's the back sorted then!! At the front I have decided to go for either the r34gtt or the r33gtst calipers and discs. I am running the standard 16" wheels. Will the 310mm r34gtt discs and calipers fit under this wheel or will I have to go with the 296mm r33gtst discs and calipers?

Probably not. I have 17in road wheels and they are fine but for the track I have a set of R32 GTR 16in wheels and i need a set of spacers to clear the front calipers (no problem at rear as I recollect). If you are planning to upgrade to 17s or 18s later you could just run spacers at the front for now but if you are planning to stick with the 16in then depending where you are spacers might be illegal. However your 16in wheels could be different from mine. It would be good if you could find someone near you with GTT brakes to try your front wheel on.

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.

    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
