Awesome day, im stuffed... I had a great time and learnt alot about my car.

Nice to meet a few people on here as well :D

Well done adam on the pb and thanks for the ride!

Yes it is always exhausting and you do learn a lot about your car. It's great fun too :(.

Hopefully I didn't scare you too much out there. :)

that's odd... everytime I ask them they say no....

love it how they change their policy all the time  :(

ditto tosh

adam, as much as you asked them this, did someone actually produce a L2S licence and were allowed to waive the wakefield licence? I tried it a while back, and they said no go

Sounds like a good day. Congrats adam, 1:12 is fairly moving around wakefield mate it seems all the mods/tyres and practice are paying off.

How did you go neil? what kind of times from the little animale?

Well i had a good day out at Eastern Creek. Got sunburnt though :(

Baron baby,,,I had a ball,,,it had wet bits in the morning so that was a pain, but Abo said I did a 109 at one stage. I was going to have a big dig in the avo but the old girls got gearbox problems. Shes locking up in 3rd. Our beloved Pres had a drive as well,,,maybe he screwed the box,,,HA HA.

Tosh and Mark,,,you two are on drugs. I have only ever used my cams licence there.

Neil.

fark i didnt realise that you guys were heading down...

i was down on saturday and had an awesome time...

the evo boys were there and i thought an evo would have been quicker but even i was passing them.....

quite a few people and a bit of inexperience which made me laugh...

I managed a 1:15 could have done a 14 if i pushed a tad harder....

wasnt in my car... was driving a mates car... its a nissan so take a guess wat it is :D

Anyone going down for the supersprint this sat?

Yeah, top day, but a long one, 12 hrs door to door. The cumberland highway was closed due to a fire, ouch that hurt with an 18month old sitting in the back wanting his dinner!

Yeah, I had some trouble keeping the car on the ground. It was only only my second time at the wake. Tyres were my biggest issues, my 24,000km old trampia's did no perform much at all. The car was moving quicker then the old R33, but abs kickin in as soon as I stomped the brakes and then the tyres heated up and went of in a matter of a couple of lap. Had the car working well by the end of the day but the lap times were not as quick as the out of control ones earlier in the day. I get a chance to redeam myself at the next UAS day at Oran.

Thanks everyone for the day and wll done Abo, semi's make a big difference, wait to you really get used to them!

Tosh and Mark,,,you two are on drugs. I have only ever used my cams licence there.

happy for you dude

lady in the signon office told me CAMS 3 licence or higher waives the need for a licence. just relaying what I was told.

Yep. Oz did. L2S

I'm tempted to ask for a refund on my wakefield licence now

shit yeah!

Toshi = owned by wakefield park management... d'oh.

I used my L2S yesterday, and I think you will find that if the event is run by a Cams affiliated club, then the L2S works fine. Attend a normal practice day and I think you need a C3. Im sure if you call and confirm this will be the story

Got to love the golburn wind.

MADGTR, saw you all crossed up at corner one a few times with the rear end hanging out. I thought to my self that your tyres must have been shit house. I would hate to pay for a decent set of tyres to suit those rims.

Would have been nice to see a rwd skyline or the 180SX out for the drift session. That big hp RX4 with the red P plate driver was just plain scary..

A suspension up grade would go a long way on a car like that. The guy driving the maron VP Commodore looked like he was having a ball hanging the tail out on the exit of most corners.

Any one know any thing about the filming that was been done of the old ford capri with the big port rotar in it? Was it getting a shake down or some thing? The driver seemed to be circulating below it's capacity for the first half of the day.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
