Can anyone confirm if 18x9.5+32 front and 18x10.5+38 rear wheels will fit an 1996 r33 gtst without any modifications, are these the widest you can go before you have to flare guards? if so how much wider can you go..

maybe wheel spacers?

cheers

That should be a completely safe fitment. Should sit inside the guards (for legality issuess) and shouldn't have any scrub issues, especially staying stock height. Run 235/40 fronts and 255/40 rears just to be sure. Make sure you post pics when you are done :)

hells no.

That will hit the rear guard lip and rub the front guards without doubt. Would need lots of camber and guard rolling to fit.

Will not be legal.

you are both wrong... lol

if you want low you will need to pull the guards a little for those sizes... but not much

and you wont need epic camber.

reference the pics at the top of this page

yeah i was looking at the 33 at the top, but i want to go for the out of the guard look, what will it be involved in doing that and fitting the new pair of ssr i just bought 18x9.5+32 and 18x10.5+38

I am going to debate this..

If his car has no modifications then the stock height plus the small amount of stretch he will be putting on the tyres will miss the rear guard lip. I have 10.5+30 on the rear and if I raised my car I wouldn't need guard rolling at all. The only reason this fitment is illegal is because he will be running two different sized rims.

by that token if you raised your car it would stick out a bit too... remember they tuck in when lowererd

and becasue they are 18's

and because they are 10.5's

and becasue of the track increase

lol

who cares if it's legal... legal rims always look shitty

i figured some people just say it fits but they wouldnt do that to their cars. If it possible people should try test fitting and seeing if its possible or trust those with pics otherwise man you could serioslu get some bad offsets which you cant return.

17 x 8 + 5 front 205 tyre

17 x 10 + 5 rear 235 tyre

For show.

yes it gts

17 x 9 +30 with 235 front and 255 rear for race but no pic

r33 s2 to fill the guards evenly do you go same size wheels all round. Or how much wider on the rear hypothetically if running similar camber.

planning to go 18 x 9 +21 front and 18 x 10 either +33 or +26 rear. Would prefer to go a little lower in offset but next up is 18 x 9 +9 which i think will be a reasonable effort to make fit and not scrub (ride height approx 335mm eyebrow)

Cheers

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
