Guys,

I am currently planning on upgrading my turbo.

Here is what the car has atm...:

Bosche 040 fuel pump

FMIC

Apexi Power FC

POD Filter

3 1/2 inch exhaust

Would like to buy a new turbo and exhaust manifold.

Any ideas? T66? T04??

Thanks

Cool, thanks.

Do you know approx how much that would cost for that setup?

Booky

As the others have suggested

INJECTORS would also be a priority on your list

GT35R with 0.82 is quite responsive on the RB25

GT35R with 0.82

High Mount Stainless Steel Manifold

Tial 38mm Wastegate

All these items are BRAND NEW and come complete with a 12 Month Warranty

We can do it for $3100 DELIVERED to your door

Check us out -------------------------->RACESPEC

Thanks

GT35 is too big for the 2.5ltr even with a .82 rear housing.

A GT30 550 HP is far better suited to the motor.

Brooky, is the motor internally standard or not?

what other mods are done, if thats all thats listed then you have a LONG was to go.

Its not a case of bolt on for $3100 and make big power by any means of the word.

There is at LEAST $8000-10,000 you'll have to spend depending on ur other mods

Also to NOTE: Try getting Garrett to repair a turbo under warranty :P

We have a GT35R w/0.83 rear on a R33 4 door. R34 NEO Bottom End, R33 Head, Greddy Plenum, Z32 AFM, 850cc INJECTORS, 044 pump, High Mount manifold and Trust Gate, FMIC, POWER FC.

294rwkw on 19psi, he had fullboost by 4 - 4500rpm

PS. Warranty work is quite easy to deal with here in SA, not sure about the other states

Cheers

Yes, the engine is stock at present...

Dont plan on pushing the limits then.

300rwkw is too much for an rb25 bottom end.

Search around you'll see most are pushing 260rwkw at the most.

A few a little bit more but thats not on a daily basis.

A smaller GCG hi-flow or similar will make that power and be far more responsive and make the car a very fast street car.

R31Nismoid is right. I've been looking into upgrading turbo on my RB25 and on the standard internals you wouldn't want to push 250rwkw's for reliability.

Thats saying you have fitted the necessary injectors, fuel pump and probably AFM.

I'm looking at an upgrade but thinking twice about a hi-flow I heard some people can struggle to reach 250rwkw's while others make it easily.

|PRESA|,

Let me know how you go with your choice...

I am thinking of upgrading and seeing how i go with the internals. But to be honest i dont know whats done to the engine, so im saying it is stock because most probably is...

The upgrades I've got planned will probably go in over the next 2 months, so I'll let you know if you haven't yet done anything.

I haven't got the budget to upgrade engine internals so I'll be looking for a reliable 250rwkw's.

Can anyone suggest a suitable turbo to suit the standard manifold and not a hi-flow of the standard turbo?

do a search, GCG hi flow.

or stuff similar to that. Will yeild all answers, people use them and they work great

with a .63 it would really limit the flow.

a gt30 with the smaller comp wheel, with a .63 would be better.

However... a few people are using them (use the search button) and they have traction issues where the guys using the gt30/.82 housings are not having so much drama due to it being a little more progressive
