Nah just saw it on there. Was considering putting a bid on it but decided I probably have too many cars as it is. Looked like a pretty easy repair

Yep , i wasn't going to bid on it either , but i was on there watching something else  , if the damage is worse than it looks in the pics i'll probably just wreck it

Buy the rota p45 from Rota aus on facebook, $1099 including delivery for 18's

cheers for the heads up, just checked them out wanted to go 18x9.5 +12 & 18x12 +20

but i dont want to hack my front guards or go wide rear, so thinking i may have to go 9.5 +32 & 10 + 35 :glare:

as im thinking +12 all round would still need guard work even though mine are allready rolled

interesting, mines quite abit lower then yours though.

i failed before the fronts would be +25 not +32

they have.

18x9.5 +12, +25

18x10 +12, +35

18x12 +0 +20

so thinking ill need 9.5 +25 fronts & 10 +35 rears

this 33 has 9.5+12 all round and looks mint! but no specs on camber ect

so after working it out on the offset calulator & then getting the trusty ruler out, im thinking i should be able to just get away with the +12's with some more rolling/lipping & stretch

Not too much to update. Last monday I put a new water pump, idler bearing/new Bolt and tensioner bearing on the old girl along with a new gates timing belt.

Yesterday arvo I made up my rear wing/boot bracing. very light and holds my weight very easily. I have made up a ally plate that fits nice in the passengers side of the boot to mount the surge tank and pumps/pump mounts to so it goes in and out as one piece. will plaster the rising sun over the tank and plate to mtach the engine =)

I'm at a bit of a cross roads with weight atm. I've sorta came a bit of the way and not quite sure where to draw the line. The head unit and 2 door speakers are in question, door intrusion bars along with door glass, might trade it for lexan... I would love to gut the doors and power windows and just have lexan in bare doors but I also want to keep from the B pillars forward in tact. I really want a carbon boot lid and then mount it on pins/latches and do away with the big factory hinges but that will have to wait as the money needs to go on more important stuff ATM

Got a ally rear diffuser/air guide planned for the rear. will get that underway in the next few weeks. more to aid airflow than provide any sort of extra dwonforce as ATM air can get trapped in the rear bar/boot floor area.

cheers

OMG, so much porn in those pics. Heaps jelly of your aero. If I had it though I'd just go backwards over a curb with it :P

Swapping Glass for Lexan I think is time to draw the line, skyline glass isn't that heavy anyway! You're better off spending the $$ on petrol and Tyres :)

its hard Nowelly. I need a new rear screen anyways. And I have spoken to Burgz about getting 2 orders shipped together. should be able to get a rear screen and door screens (and quaters but prob wont use them) in lexan here for 600ish. I was quoted over 300 for an aftermarket rear glass screen.... the door glass is actually kinda heavy. I know the rear isnt.

A nice light motorsport battery is def on the cards later in the year after the important stuff is out of the way.

haha yeah really its not huge coin. not when your already up for a rear screen anyway. its usually about 700 but if we can get two kits at the same time should save a bit on postage, shipping 2 kits compared to one shouldnt make shit all difference so should come in around the 600- maybe 650 tops. I prob wouldnt of bothered if I didnt need any but since I need the rear, kinda a 'may aswell while i'm there' thing lol

looking good Jack

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
