Big Rizza
Hey all, I was cruising throught the Prestige Motorsport stock and came up with thisToyota Aristo. They run a twin turbo six, but not the wimpy 1JZ like the chaser - they get the full 2JZGTE treatment! *Insert Fast n Furious quotes about engine here* Compliance is still about 8 months away apparently, but I think 4-Door Skyline and Stagea owners better look out - family man in a hurry has a new weapon! The crazy part is that one on Prestige is for sale for LESS THAN $11,000!!!! Maybe I should upgrade my R32 4-door for one. I was considering the UZZ31 Toyota Soarer and R34 Nissan Skyline Sedan as an upgrade, but I think the Aristo has joined the list! What do people reckon? Bliksem
holy shit, I didnt realise they could be imported here. have been a big fan of the aristo since i first saw read about them on SDU about 2 years ago... the manual ones are rare to find unfortunately Edited November 17, 2005 by MintR33 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95291-toyota-aristo/#findComment-1724109 Share on other sites
predator2
They look so much like a camary.. but despite that the rest looks very nice. I wouldn't take an 11k example as the 'average'. You'd have to look at a few more.. prestige always does that Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95291-toyota-aristo/#findComment-1724231 Share on other sites

Big Rizza
I wouldn't take an 11k example as the 'average'. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I emailed Geoff and he said that yes, this one is particularly cheap. Typically the Aristos start at around $13k, which is still a bargain in my mind! prestige always does that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You say that like it's a bad thing! Surely advertising cheap cars on the Prestige website should be encouraged not looked down upon I got some additional information: Twin turbo JZS147 2JZ-GTE 3lt 206KW/1680kg IL6 Engine -122kw/tonne. Non turbo JZS147 2JZ-GE 3lt 169kW/1580kg IL6 Engine - 107kw/tonne. 4WD UZS143 1UZ-FE4ltr 191 kW/1740kg V8 Engine -109kw/tonne Sunroof and Leather are uncommon options, and ALL were sold as automatics. The only manuals are aftermarket jobbies. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95291-toyota-aristo/#findComment-1724551 Share on other sites
predator2
Well i don't know, they just seem to pick a couple out there which are that lower price to 'bait' people, then when people ring because of the low price, that car has been snapped up 'but wait, we have more we can get access to'. It's a standard business practice, but you know Edited November 17, 2005 by predator2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95291-toyota-aristo/#findComment-1724561 Share on other sites

R32Skyliner
They do have a bit of the 'jelly beans' about their shape, but everything else is nice. Perhaps with some nice paint and rims could look good. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95291-toyota-aristo/#findComment-1724761 Share on other sites

funkymonkey
chris, that's the newer aristo, the one everyone likes... the one in the first post is the old one... mechanically/technologially cool, but a bit lacking cosmetically.
