Hey guys n girls.

Well i'm not usually one for asking people questions about what to do to my own car, but this one has me a bit stumped. Recently I painted my R32 GTR purple with red pearl, the bit that says "SKYLINE" at the back has sort of blended in with the colour of the car.......I dunno, but I want to either get it to light up (read about doing it a while back on here) or paint it a colour to stand out.

What colour do you guys reckon would stand out on it? Some people have suggested yellow, light blue.

Also, while I've made this thread, might as well ask what sort of rims would go well with the colour. I bought 19inch rims for it, but to my dismay they didn't fit! I returned them to the person I bought them off, but am in the market for some more now, as the stock ones on this colour look terrible. I like 19s or 18s at the least. Then foglights are gonna go, i'll lower it, expose the FMIC and that would be all for looks.

Not sure on this one, any tips or ideas would be great!

Here are some crappy pics i took off my phone (car looks jacked of its ass coz the engine was out)

Thanks,

Ali.

Don't paint it... just get the GTR badge on the back.. nice and simple

I really can't see any colour except perhaps a metalic silver, even this is a long shot.. Go with my first idea..

Hmmm, might paint it chrome, silver or bronze with rims to match.

Didn't think of that, I reckon it would look awesome. At the moment i'm thinking chrome with chrome rims....

Probably won't leave it, dunno why lol.

Didn't paint it myself, got it done from a proper panelshop.

Also we've got all the badges, just haven't glued em back on yet...except for that diamond at the front, don't like it, so that stays off.

I've seen GTR badges on the front grill before...might do that. Or leave it.

Thanks for the responces guys.

Ali.

yeh i say bronze or gold, and i disagree with chrome rims, makes the car look like a show car!!!! in my view a GTR is a beast not a pony.... but thats my opinion.

Lots of people have told me that.

But I'm a fan of the bling.

LoL...if i can find some nice, non-chrome rims i'd be sure to get them though. ;)

Can anyone post the link to the DIY LED rear skyline logo, found it ages ago but cant seem to pick it up in search results.

Thanks

- Patrick

Same, had little luck searching myself.

looks wicked in purple... like the skyline logo the way it is ..... some 18 or 19 inch white mags would look sick.

Yeah white rims go well with purple.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
