  1. Test drove a dead stocker years back, they are so smooth lol. Make a real street daily, easy to drive.
  2. Whoa there! factory outputs are always at the flywheel, no as quoted in bold. Eg a 32GTR is quoted as 206KW (more like 220KW), and stockers put out on average 170RWKW.
  3. Only real way to be sure of a cars' spec would be to do a vin number check on nissan fast.
  4. Thanks! Got an e boost street, black box. Nice and compact. Damn you Steve-o!! My R32 would of been mad fun on texi! A couple of pics when I was parked at texi. Surprise upgrade visually is the nismo sideskirt extensions that help fatten car lol. Mate of mine painted em for me after I fixed em up and got 2 pac dg white colour matched.
  5. straight bolt on, just need to fit your oil/water lines off your turbo's. No shaft play, was running 15psi when I bought the car. Pm if interested. Cheers
  6. The nismo upgrade kits do come with extra sensors, too depending on what type/version. Like 2 bar reading map sensor, instead of 1.2bar. Also, I'm going to add upgraded swaybars to my list .
  7. I'm about to put up my 2 garrett R34GTR turbos for $500. They are off my vspec R34 that had 66,000km. These are ball bearing ceramic, in very good nick. Western Sydney.
  8. Lol!, I was like ahhh, awwww. The 33GTR did go hard all day though!, as well as the rest of the field! More pics!
  9. Electric one goes straight to speedo. Checked wiring diagrams. A speed sensor wire goes from speedo to ecu for things such as speed cut, and idle up a little (100-200RPM) when not at a stop etc.
  10. Great event! Next time I will most definitely enter as it looked like a blast! Think my car needs a diet if I'm gonna get serious lol! Nice spread of cars out today, and other than the wind and getting slightly burnt, awesome! Big thumbs up to execs and volunteers for a smooth running event, and the Godzilla crew for a great BBQ!
  11. Game over.... Ceramic wheel is now down your exhaust somewhere most likely. Better go shop for some new turbos...... I got -9's as I don't trust the ceramics, even if they ain't blown, you can do some engine damage and end up with few scored bores after the ceramic dust from the failed turbo does it's thing. Has been covered in other Topics. Good luck with your turbo choice
  12. He should order in new ones as he broke em. Wasting your time etc....that annoys me when stuff like this happens..... Nissan spare parts?
  13. Hopefully the hydraulic lifter(s) then, they get noisy before oil pressure too, when they get old and crap builds up in em.. Big end will be a deeper knock.....
  14. Steve-o, maybe.... Pete, I ended up getting the catch can from just jap in Kirawee, comes with the hose, I bought extra hose to set it up how I wanted it. Bryn, I'm pretty sure the non vspecs didn't have em as the exhaust temp and intake temp is not shown on the MFD, I could be wrong though as nissan do some strange stuff too. You can fit the rear vspec dump to a non vspec....
  15. done a few km's?, hard life etc Sounds like big end bearing(s) (rod knock), especially before oil pressure builds up. Rebuild down the track, or a rod may go out the side one day... That is one possible cause......
  16. Had it dyno tuned the other week and the standard wastegate actuators that I put onto the -9's aren't controlling the wastegates properly at high boost, see dyno graph. Runs well though and new actuators are on the way. Still running stock injectors and afm's. Also going to replace compliance cat and sort out exhaust.
  17. Thanks Brad and Scott White is a pain to keep clean! Audio is pretty much done, still have boot space. Also sorted out the catch can setup. Put a vent/drain into the dipstick hole from the catch can, seems to work well. May go an alpine sub and mono block later on. A 4x100watt alpine amp is running the front and rear speakers from the audio processor.
  18. Lol, get the brakes done.......set of pads??? is that it! Being a non-turbo I guess it doesn't need a big brake kit....for now.
  19. My 32 was a daily for 5 years. Great all round car, street, drag, twisties. Wet weather traction is great too. Gearboxes get tired, replace all rubber pipes, cv boots etc but other than that was pretty good. Just keep it well maintained and they make a good daily too. I used to get 400-420km around town and 550km on the highway, I did have cams, and that dropped economy a little, stock cams was 450 and 600. Got hailed on, paintless dent removal got all the dents out of the aluminum bonnet and guards, etc.
  20. Don't you need the ballasts to run xenons?
  21. I have gone through 3 1/2 inch breaker bars. Good old supercheap SWG one's with lifetime guarantee. They were pretty reluctant to replace the last one I broke lol! First one was broken when undoing a 300zx hub retainer nut. Had a 2metre long extension pole on it. Second one was from a similar thing.' Third one was when I was trying to undo the harmonic balancer bolt on the RB26. Had a 3 metre long steel pole on the end.....no good, didn't come undone, just sheared the square part of the breaker bar. Sump plugs and alloy sumps ain't that crash hot either, had to helicoil 2 sumps for me and another guy.
  22. Spotted yesterday morning,a nice Bayside blue R34 GTR near the RAAF base, gave a wave, got one back. Also a nismo blue R33GTST near auto parts world. Farch spotted a Black R33GTR with bronze rims in Windsor, said it looked great.
  23. Spotted a nice silver R33GTR this morning on the Windsor floodway road.
  24. Ha ha Steve-o, yeah 25PSI feels strong lolz! This setup feels a lot more alive, especially in the twisties. Found that I could stay in a higher gear and not have to rev the guts out of it. It was hitting 18psi around 3600 or so in 3rd and 4th etc when I glimpsed at the display accelerating up slight hilly corners tonight. In a straight line though, it doesn't feel as aggressive as the 2530's on the 32, but the speedo says otherwise.... I liked the way the 2530's came onto boost and charged towards 8000rpm, but there wasn't much happening under 5000rpm, so the 34 with the -9's do work out well, and is just as fast as the 32 with less hp. I wanted more under the curve this time and considering the 34 is heavier, it worked out well. Ploding along in traffic is easy and I find I don't need much throttle to get going. When one of my mates was driving back in his car after we picked up my car, he said that he could hear the tyres ripping into the road when I accelerated in 1st and 2nd gears, I just laughed as I thought it was funny, but it really has got a nice strong torque band. Injectors are on 92% duty so there is a little left in them. Better actuators are on order and a better cat converter. I'm sure this will make it a little better again, so I'm happy with the results.
