  1. Yes, looking at an X-force stainless steel high flow cat (around 700 cfm according to the manufacturer) not the $160 one from JustJap.... Also looking at PowerFC + tune, just need to ring around for a price of tuning, PowerFC is looking at between $950 and $980 from forum traders.
  2. Leeming14, some members here will come across as harsh. There are plenty of articles on the forums that explain this, its been discussed so many times before that you'll likely get your thread closed. Please search for the info you need before posting the questions or you will not get friendly replies.... And the answer is don't do it. Aftermarket plumb-backs make more noise, more police attention, you shouldn't get any more power. Aftermarket atmospheric just cause too many problems.
  3. I found an 200SX "S14", where S14 appears to be the code in the list, not sure if it works. Anyway, post up your VIN when you get it and someone can work it out
  4. Thanks for the info, I will have a look around at getting some QFM A1.RM pads or similar. The GTR is running the standard brembo's does anyone know the normal price for these?
  5. Hmm, I have a stock-ish R33 GTR, exhaust system, compliance cat, mines ECU, HKS EVC boost controller, compliance air filter. The car was running 10psi and I got 156.6AWKW. So is my car not making enough power....some people have said it sounds roughly correct? I will be making some more mods next month for more power
  6. I've seen this done a few times but looks very neat. If you do sell them I'll be interested in a couple months time when I get around to getting a sub
  7. Oh, I should mention that I'm running street tyres at the moment as its my first track-day so going for really good brakes probably isn't the best investment unless I'm doing the pads and the tyres each track day ... or is it?
  8. Adz, thanks a lot for the information, I appreciate it. I've created this new thread about whether I should buy track-day break pads or just upgrade to some track/street pads: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...-H-t206986.html That way I won't hi-jack this thread too much I've heard conflicting stories about the 100 octane but I'll get my car tuned first (buying a PowerFC soon) and then I'll check with the tuner for recommendations about fuel for the track day. Regards Gareth
  9. Hey everyone, I'm about to do my first track-day with driver dynamics and I am not too sure about my brake pads on my R33 GTR. Currently the rear pads are pretty worn in and I have no idea what brake pads its been running since it came from Japan. It has been advised that I should get some track-day pads for this like: HAWK HT-10, and change the fluid over on the brake's. It might be a good opportunity to put in the Aus. braided brake lines and remove the Japanese ones too EDIT: found recommended pads sticky, I'm considering the QFM A1.RM. Should I buy a dedicated track-day pad that I put on and use for track days only? And then remove afterwards again? Do track-pads need to be bedded in before use? Or can I just use them on the day? Also do I get some standard DOT4 brake fluid? I'm not going to be attending track days that often but I don't want to end up into a wall at Sandown because of brake fade. The brakes appear to be standard with a larger front rotor (I think). Thanks, Gareth
  10. Do you have the ability to get access to R33 GTR pads from QFM?
  11. $800? From where? Performance-wise was selling them for $920 on this forum.
  12. I've got 245*45*9 on a 17inch on the stock R33 GTR rims.... 255 might be a little wide? Or is it...?
  13. I tried adding the European libraries I have but as soon as I open FAST it hangs on 99% CPU usage and doesn't appear to do anything. I tried both LHD and RHD CD's EDIT: looks like its doing some kind of indexing or something, it takes 5minutes or so to open on my PC. Oh, and the model names are in English in the european list (micra, cherry, sunny) so what kind of car is it? I couldn't run that particular code...normally there 3-4 characters followed by 6 numbers. I looked for anything starting with A but didn't see anything. Attached.
  14. Apologies for hi-jacking the thread, but is this something I could listen to with my eyes ?
  15. Above two done...
  16. I'm not that good with cars, so I'm not sure how I'd swap them over at a track day. I assisted in changing the rotors on the R31 and that didn't go so well. Anyway I'm *hoping* to get a PFC and tune before the track day so I might be able to confirm with a mechanic if its enough pad there or not.
  17. So you/your company would be paying some $$$ for the part and the owner pays the rest?
  18. Be warned its a huge download but great for divx quality.
  19. But don't the R34 GTR's have the battery in the boot?
  20. Ok statement withdrawn . I was told this but I don't know how true it is, it was something I was told rather than one of my theory's.. The idea was along the lines of GTR's run rich and the ceramic inside's wear out easier while a steel inside will last longer. I'm not in the know when it comes to cat converters so I'll let other people advise me on this one
  21. I'll be attending, I have some brake pads (a fair amount on front) a little on rear, I think they're enough for the track day. I just have to buy (or hire) a helmet
  22. Oh, can we move this to tutorials? Or at least put a link from there to here?
  23. Haha, ok, no beer until the cat is in I'm going to try to get a 3inch high-flow (probably the x-force racing cat, not the $160 one) that does not have a ceramic inside as its not good for the skylines to have ceramic inside (apparently) Regards, Gareth
