where to buy: Toyota Estima hybrid AHR20 differential arm bushing
admS15 replied to yangys's topic in General Maintenance
The price and postage cost is very good. I've never personally used that company so can't comment on them. I briefly tried to find a review and couldn't find anything at all. -

MLR's Bogan cruise ship

I sold my VT2 SS LS1 6spd with usual mods (headers, exhaust, intake, tune) around 8 years ago. Was on the market for 6.5k for around a year before it finally sold for $5600. Struggled to even get anyone to come look at it. I see guys asking 15-20k for them now and most of them look clapped out compared to mine. Ah, the times we're living in. -
If you don't have a friendly rwc guy, then it's best to make everything appear stock again. Don't give them a reason to take a deeper look. I'd be fitting a stock side mount intercooler and covering any non standard holes, stock exhaust system and making sure there's no traces of leaking fluids underneath and then take it to somewhere like a Kmart auto for a rwc. They're generally not too fussy, I've found. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Op can have another 2nd hand fuel pump for free when I pull it out.
-
If I do decide to change it, you have done a damn good job of steering me towards AEM. I have noticed very few online winge posts of ma pump failed bro for AEM vs the rest.

Cool, yes have closed loop running to about 200kpa then let the map do it's job. Tuna doesn't like leaving closed loop on for full throttle/boost. He only had it on for cruise/idle/low boost purposes. I am going to take it in for a power check and bit of a tickle to boost control and maybe trim a bit of fuel from the top end. If you where me, would you leave the pump as is or replace it with a new one?

This is my concern, was also considering going to an aem 340lph but I may just leave it as is. AFR's are still where they should be throughout the rev range. Thanks, that's what I thought but still hesitant. I briefly hit 90% injector duty at peak power. Been like that for years and done heaps of track days without blowing up. Not sure if it should be getting to that sort of %. Running Nismo 740cc taps for injectors. Making 312rwkw. AFR is a bit rich at full tilt. Somewhere in the high 10's low 11's. What sort of duty cycle would you expect to see at my power level with my injectors, pump is grounded with relay mod and better wiring. Standard 25 year old alternator.

Since we are on the topic of fuel pumps. I have a dw300 (340lph) in tank pump. Has been in there for around 5 years predominantly with E85. There have been no issues to date but I've been considering replacing just as a maintenance exercise. Would be replacing with exactly the same thing as I don't want the tune to get thrown off at all. What do you guys think, good idea or over kill?

Someone should add "Gregging" and "To Greg" to urban dictionary. -
Had a similar issue when I upgraded the stereo in the m35 I used to have. From memory I ran a grounding wire screwed into the frame of the head unit and chassis. Didn't make sense to me but it made it work and I never had the issue again. Give it a go, can't hurt anything.

My R33 GTST Bare Shell Build Up
admS15 replied to PerthR33GTST's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Man, the time to build up a skyline from a shell was 5-8 years ago when the parts where plentiful and cheap. Anyone selling anything these days thinks it's made from gold. 5 years ago I bought a complete good condition R33 interior and boot trims minus front door cards for $50. Good luck even trying to find that stuff now. Anyway, please post updates and can we get an ETA of when we will see a skid vid. Thanks. -
Extractors, upgraded cams, ecu retune and then skids. Please upload videos when done. Thanks

MLR's Bogan cruise ship
admS15 replied to The Bogan's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Sounds like it's doing the job it's designed to do well. Can you turn it off if you're in Mexico and want to rip a skid? Sadly my car is non abs. I wonder if it's as simple as retrofitting some speed sensors or if it needs signals from an abs module? -

Regarding halaltech Holley did make an offer to buy but haltechs owner knew it would have been the end of haltech and didn't accept their offer. So there was truth in what you heard @mlr https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220511006064/en/MiddleGround-Capital-Completes-Third-Add-on-Acquisition-of-Haltech-for-Its-Race-Winning-Brands-Platform -

I just heard about it over on performance forums. The guy who brought it up is a haltech distributor. He said it's been sold to US company race winning brands. -
Welcome back Mr Trex, jeez that would make some heads turn when they hear that 2zz singing it's song. Car is looking real good, I like what you've done with it 👍
