  1. Buy a speedtek gearset and this problem will be solved but if it's not please seek help elsewhere..
  2. It's alright boys, i got this. I may give a couple of those shops a call for a quote anyway but I'm pretty confident i can do the job. Just requires some timing lock tools, i have some detailed instructions equivalent to a Nissan fsm. Just like a Nissan.
  3. I just did some brake pads and odd bits and pieces, yes pretty straight forward. Next up is timing belt change. Someone at Renault forgot to put the keyways on the cam and crank pulleys. She'll be right, what could go wrong..
  4. My pedal doesn't rattle but has a squeek when used
  5. Details on zip tie fix. I need max jdmness in my life
  6. I remember seeing one at Phillip island a few years back, stock as a rock fitted with Bridgestone semis re55 i think. Ran 1:54's, my 33 with double the power and the extensive mods has run a best of 1:50.4. 54's with tyres is impressive
  7. Just going to leave it for now, it has the mid resonator deleted otherwise standard. Its a 265 cup+ so it has an extra 15 lamas Surprisingly the mini build quality was very good. 247k km, drove beautiful, no rattles from the interior. Solid little car. Shit at putting the power down, no lsd. The megay is a real nice place to be, being a cup+ it's the more luxurious comfy version. It has high kms also at 195. There are some interior rattles that are affecting my ocd. It drives awesome and is mechanically solid. Drive wise, it's in a different league to the Mini. It's apples and oranges. I just sold the Mini to the first viewer, ex bmw tech. He agreed with me that it was the best condition 247k car he'd ever seen. Busted, lol. Faux Nissan, gohsn style.
  8. Yes it is, does everything without fuss. The amount of grip available is hard to believe for a wrong wheel drive car, definitely a step up from the Mini but needs some love which I'm happy to give it. The Mini was great but eventually all good things come to an end. Im sure the new owner will love it, they're getting a damn good car.
  9. Out with the old In with the less old

    Buy a Nissan Welcome
  11. The reason it failed was a protest to you about not doing enough skids..
  12. That's a damn good setup Dan. In my current situation, battery doesn't make sense but if they kick off this pay to feed in crap, we may have to revisit it.
  13. Also have lg, quick 30 ftw. Life's good. Have a 6.6kw yum cha growat solar system 13c feed in. Have not paid for electricity since it's installation. Although have been using summer credit for the last month, should make it through the winter without paying. After government grants and loan, it is costing me $9 a week for 4 years. $1850 total out of my pocket. Will pay for itself in 18 months. Currently half way there. Unfortunately govco and electric co are making grumbling noises about charging customers for feed in. That will stuff it up for most of us. Karnts.
  14. Congratulations on the newborn. Car is looking real nice👌
  15. 100mm would be nice, bigger is better but don't think you'll get it in there without cutting up stuff. You'll need to do some research and see what others have done to fit one in.
  16. Shhh, they might hear you. Directly below your post How fitting
  17. That is a nice way of doing it. If you're going to go that way, don't try to modify the rf core, just sell it on and replace it with a traditional full size core with custom piping. The blitz rf cores are not full height or thickness. Get a 600x300x76 to suit your budget, aeroflow is ok on the cheap end, if you have the $ and want to do it properly, plazmaman is nice.
  18. I have the same style cooler and am making 312rwkw with a high flow turbo on e85. Made 260 on 98. Stock head studs and gasket handled that no problem and my car has done many many track days without issue and intake temps similar to what kinkstaah mentioned above. As you read, his car made well over 400 before he bitched out and went LS.
  19. Redlines new poster boy, they should sponsor you.
  20. It can be done, will require custom made intercooler piping on the cold side. I have seen traditional return flow setups making in excess of 400rwkw. It's not that rf can't make the power, they tend to have a bigger pressure loss across the core making your turbo work harder to make the desired boost which then also increases intake temps. Ultimately it's not as efficient as could be but unless you're chasing every little bit of power and response they are sufficient for most street setups.
  21. That will work fine and is what i also am using.
  22. Surely there's someone in japland that will tune an apexi power fc. People throw them out these days, buy one of them with church change, get it tuned and when you finally make it back to the US, throw it out and go haltech. Just thinking out loud.
  23. Brand new box is pre filled from factory with castrol vmx. Id run that for a thousand k's then drain and refill with a gl4 oil of your choice.
