  1. Pulley is an easy change which takes less then 30 seconds with a cordless impact driver
  2. Picked up my alternator kit from Rat32r yesterday. Was a pleasure doing business. I can say to anyone thinking of getting one, he was honest, knowledgeable and true to his word. The product looks the goods. I will report back once it’s fitted to my car. Again, thank you mate. Here is the photos you f it out of the car for anyone interested.
  3. Yes, I’ve only ever heard good things about Jez from many different people in the industry and previous customers. Trigger kit and injectors were his suggestions. Picked up my 140A alternator yesterday from Rat32r, there is a thread on it here. I have to say, nicest bloke to deal with, friendly, informative and true to his word, was a pleasure doing business, I’ll do a write up on it once installed. I’m taking it up to Jez to be fitted prior to tuning. If it all works well then I’d have to say he is into a good thing and considering a new replacement alternator with Australian warranty can be had for 250-$300. It’s a good thing.
  4. Well, she went to DVS Automotive today for completion, I’ve bought R35 coil packs, 1650cc Bosch Motorsport injectors, it’s also getting a trigger kit fitted, oil cooler and I’m changing the surge tank to one with twin internal pumps. Fitting a fast read air temp sensor, wideband kit and moving all the wiring on the turbo side to inside the guard. It’s getting tuned on e85 Should be ready in 2-3 weeks, I washed it the other day so obviously it had to rain today, it was on a tow truck and didn’t actually get too dirty. [emoji848] GTR life be like ?
  5. You inspired me want, I just bought the coil kit from Hypertune. I got the black anodised bracket
  6. How far away from completion are you? I’m currently looking at updating to support my new mods
  7. Sorry to hear mate, have you considered buying a complete stock motor? Could probably pick one up for 3k. Do engine swap, clear defect, then swap back. Your build is almost a mirror build of my car. Also how much are they going to check, will they go right through the whole car or just check the exhaust is compliant?
  8. Yeah my son saw it walking home from school and msg'd me. Hope it was nothing serious
  9. I have a plazmaman 100mm comp series cooler for sale if you're interested. Pm me This is what it looks like on he car And the same size cooler on a 32
  10. Go to the GTR parts for sale page, I think there has been some recent adds for 34 rims, not sure if they are sold yet or not, but if you keep an eye out there something will pop up
  11. When trying to source someone to retrim my wheel I was given this guys number, he is apparently really good. I haven't used him as of yet though so can't personally comment on his work.
  12. Mate I think I just understood what you're talking about, my car is a 26/30, it uses an rb power steer pump but there has also been an extra pulley made up to hold the belt in place, this was done by Croydon racing. However I'm not sure what belt was used, I'm assuming standard belt? I took a photo of the pulley for you.
  13. Oh yes that was the other part of the question, yes I have AC and it cleared the lines by a mile. Didn't quite clear the bonnet but it was made for an r34 with an rb26 not a 32 with a 30/26. And since the bonnet has already been slightly modded for engine clearance I'm not fussed in cutting it a little more
  14. Hi dorifticon, manifold is a custom job for a guy who works out of the JEM workshop. I'm running a single precession wastegate that came with the turbo . Bonnet mods, just needs a small section of the ribbing removed. The bonnet actually closes but is raised about 5mm on the turbo side, obviously from hitting the turbo, the ribbing is about 30mm at that point and hits the cold side of the turbo so once cut should be all good. I've also had the manifold and turbo ceramic coated to help deal with the heat
  15. Progress [emoji16] It's actually fitted now, basically the hot side is complete just need to connect the dump pipe. Next is the fuel system, I'm now going to run an areoflow surge tank with twin 044's feeding through braided lines to a turbosmart fuel pressure reg (1200) and into a plazmaman fuel rail and 2000cc bosch injectors
  16. Also, just thought of this, try calling Maatouks racing in Sydney, they have done a lot of RB conversions across VL's and GTR's
  17. Sorry can't help here but have a question, will you run an RB26 power steering pump or VL pump? If it's A 26 pump they pop up for sale from time to time, I think there is two now for sale on the GTR Facebook buy/sell page. If it's a VL pump go to a commodore wreckers should be easy enough to source. As for air conditioning, look up a local specialist and see if they can source and fit a compressor, you would need a new one that's compatible with whatever gas they are currently using wouldn't you? I can give you the number of the air con place that recently did my GTR but they are down in Canberra. Good luck with it Cheers
  18. [emoji848]LSA's... great for 1/4 mile but they do suffer from sever heat soak, useless if you want to do a track day
  19. Each to there own and if you want to build it to factory specs that's your decision, but if the engine is out, there are a number of known weaknesses/shortcomings in the RB which could be addressed now and give yourself a great base to increase power down the track if you ever wanted to go that way. I only say this as you said you may wish to pursue more power later down the track. It may pay to hold off now and build it solid ready for whatever you may throw at it in the future?
  20. Ok so it was graded a 0bb 0 meaning previous accident damage
