car looks awesome mate welcome to the site. great choice on the rb30 build will be quite the car when its done. this will be a beauty when its finished.
-
yeah mate worked like a charm. I only have done one so far out of the 4 but looks good. definitely not to caliber of yours but I can deal with it. thanks again I feel pretty happy I was able to do this. Thread gave me some confidence to try. see if I can get a pic for yeah shop is quite dark. I did end up having to weld it on and definitely had the tourque. once the rail was heated up proper it went easy.

I seen a couple smart guys on this site drilling a couple holes attaching the slide hammer that way. I think I just gotta be a man and get under there and get at it! seeing how you repaired it gives me insipiration to do a good job hopefully look stock again. I will continue following your build m8.
-
you are the man! thanks for the advice. not to be a lazy azz im gunna research the slide hammer technique but any pointers or advice when I do this? do I heat the rail up when doing it etc. im just trying to figure out how I would connect the slide hammer to the rail and assume I am hammering straight south toward the ground...

compression test for the engine would be a good start, change the fluids, get a mechanic to check your suspension for warn out parts. make sure your oil temp and coolant temps are up before ripping it hard. check your oil often and check your coolant from time to time. listen for wierd sounds that aren't usually there when starting and drving the car. make sure you got a good battery as well. few things that will keep your car running well and help you find issues you didn't know were there! start collecting some tools haha

ya its not to bad, for what it was worth I replaced my coilpack loom harness as it was all dry and cracky. oem or wiring specialty both offer nice options, I know you can time your CAS with a little loop in the back of the wiring specialty harness some people don't like this option tho and still time with 1 cylinder... glad it went well tho happy boostin brotha.

nice car welcome, looks like theres some goodies on that car send up some pics mate!

could you just cut the dinted area out and have a piece fabbed up to fit in and work away at it until it looks flush and clean, instead of doing the whole rails? my cars in pretty good shape not ready to install a whole new rail lol from another car but would like to fix the dinted area up.arent as bad as your old ones
-
I always wondered how or if that could even be done, the rails look awesome. mine aren't awful but definitely bug like that. anyways cheers the whole build is very imformative.
-

well put. and even at 450whp is still gunna snap your neck m8, I would personally go with a gt3076 or something along those lines. with a higher boost around 22psi. will achieve an easy 450whp with what I think would be a much better drivable power band and funner car in the end. -
That being said gtsboy you are right you need some good cash to not through cheap parts at the car when it breaks, if you take time and patience and have another daily it’s manageable.
-
Well yes but some guys have The cash to not even have to diagnose and just drop there car off at a reputable garage. I don’t have a shop within 1000km that knows these cars or do I have lots of cash and my gtr runs great....I take lots of time maintaining it and studying the manual. Don’t need a ton of cash to run a gtr just have to understand it and have some basic tools.

man honestly if your looking to make 600hp and you don't know the difference between those 2 turbos and haven't already read the 1000 posts on google about single swap setups I would just keep running the car stock. bigger a/r flows more air but has more lag. don't over think it. pick a turbo make sure you have the fuel, a good ignition system and just send it mate. read lots!!!!! -
Find someone with a printer and print off the 800 page manual and study it. Will help you understand your awd system better. I’ve gone through a lot of atessa issues with my car I’ll help out but i suggest using the manual and a good voltage tester. Could save you money from taking to a shop. If you got the cash like gtsboy said take it to a professional and get your car back fixed.

maybe the car got corona virus and bit the dust. just kidding maybe a bad joke at this time ha. the search continues see if you got spark, see if you got fuel. if you do check cas, afm, I don't think 02 sensors matter for start up. maybe clogged fuel filter? weak battery connections? -
I am still learning lots although I finally feel I have my gtr figured out. best advice download the r33 manual study it, follow it, get in touch with your car or sell it someone that will. also be careful not to strip the spark plugs they don't need to betighter than nuns vageeen. work slow work smart. cheers

New member need help with rear de fogger BNR32
MoMnDadGTR replied to RBDev's topic in Introduce yourself
Forsure mate enjoy the car and you will receive great enjoyment from fixing it. get in there get busy and start following wires etc. don't over think the situation. get used to using the manual, a good voltage reader in sync. sometimes it means taking a little flack when you come on here wanted everyone to solve the issue for you before you have even traced your wires or even downloaded the manual yet. the boys on here are great they will always help. GTSboy has giving me some shit in the past but has also helped fix my car 3 times. ive put my two cents in there are many smarter people than myself on here. good luck mate. -
correct.

sure oem is fine, although I can guarantee you will be happy with the cometic. hi quality good aftermarket option not to pricey.
