  1. I was told monday I’ll have the engine either next week or the first week back after Xmas. Not that I’m in a rush as I’m currently building it a new home
  2. It’s something to do with a sleeve, which is a machine shop’s engine builder problem
  3. Best part is none of it is my doing so I won’t be paying
  4. Being certified at the beginning of its life doesn’t make it fit for purpose either, a 100% success rate says it must be fit for purpose
  5. 100% fit for purpose, does the job every time including chev iron v8 with the auto transmission still attached.
  6. The weight a seat belt is designed to carry is far higher then the weight of an engine
  7. you can still see the seat belt attached in that photo
  8. I use seat belts to put the engine in, that thing makes it far to tall and ends up in the way. Also being material seat belts don’t scratch your freshly painted rocker covers
  9. It’s what pretty much everyone does and is also what everyone has been telling you to do. most people run a new set of wires from the ecu
  10. Just do it properly and put the valve on the other side of the engine bay, block the 2 red hoses off, take the boost source from where you are currently taking it under the plenum then using a t-piece connect port 2 to both of the waste gates and leave port 1 open
  11. The os88 has a habit of breaking the input shaft and it’s generally a 6 month wait to get a new one. They also very agricultural compared to the newer boxes as they were designed in the 90s and haven’t changed much since then
  12. number one port is currently plumbed into the bottom of the plenum which is a boost source
  13. That’s not even close to what people have been telling you to do!!
  14. The stagea has the same tank as the r32 gtr and out of my r32 gtr I used to get around 400-450kms to a tank with standard petrol (gas) and now it’s on e85 is more like 300-320 to a tank
  15. It’s a bit of a weird one considering water isn’t supposed to touch the sleeves in these blocks. I’m just glad they found an issue rather then not finding anything and guessing the head gasket just didn’t seal
  16. Block was tested this week and turns out it’s leaking from number 6 sleeve, been told they’ll strip it down to a bare block and and pull the sleeve out to find out why it’s leaking
  17. Sad 😞 my engine had to come back out and all it had done was Idled 4 or 5 times
  18. Agree, Mondays can eat shit
  19. I’m sure there are cars that don’t follow that rule, then again they may have had the front wiped off and had the front guards replaced
  20. Blue are on na cars and red are on turbo ones, the gold were part of an option pack with gold badges
  21. Pull Belt off and turn pump with a drill, put belt back on and start car
  22. They’re blind holes and they’re designed with a shank on the bottom of the stud to bottom out and make sure the length is correct
