  1. They sell just the boots and bracket as a kit so there’s no need to buy new coils or wiring
  2. The hole that the coil drops into is bigger and has a taper on it as an extra way of holding the boot on
  3. Yes the bracket is different and needs to be changed as well
  4. Well the dyno didn’t quite go according to plan, the car didn’t blow up or anything stupid thankfully but it had a really bad spark break up. the blue line is the 2.6 6466 and the red is the 2.8 6870 At least i got to drive the car home which is the first time since Xmas 2020. Luckily a friend was nice enough to lend me his coils for me to test and it fixed the problem It turns out the old type prp stalks are well known for being an issue so I replaced all the stalks with the new type and the new bracket to suit and that should be job done ✅
  5. Goes into the plug on the steering rack
  6. It is in the top hose and not the bottom, that way it come straight out and into radiator rather then back into the engine
  7. So you’re saying they’re plastic junk like every other car these days
  8. I had been led to believe BMWs were out of the box race cars
  9. Yeah that and I should it was 2 pin as well but it’s in the right spot
  10. Is the radiator shroud still on?
  11. Pretty sure it’s for the climate control vent
  12. Gtr/gts4 is definitely smarter to pull the engine out be cause you need to pull the box out anyway gtst I’d leave it in and drop the cross member
  13. I dunno if I missed it but is this the turbo model?
  14. Thanks mate, it’s been a lot of work and I hope it’s all been worth it
  15. more new rubbers and to add to the mix also new bolts for the center garnish and pretty much all done, the alarm is being replaced and I’ll deal with that ugliness when that happens
  16. Ah damn. I might grab one myself because mine works most of the time lol
  17. I’ve seen a video on you tube where the issue is just dry solder joints and once you fix them the unit lasts forever
