  1. al the shiny parts bolted on to the engine the first time for a long time that the engine and the car have been in the same place
  2. Before you replace the tank, removed it and check all of the breather hoses and the seal for the level sender unit. I just bought all the hoses for mine because that was what I found after removing the tank
  3. Gtr are still available through the heritage program but don’t have the wiring
  4. More then likely or the cap isn’t sealing properly
  5. Decided to remove the clutch booster as it’s more things that can go wrong and it frees up a lot of room and means less vacuum lines running around the engine bay old one out and on the floor new one ready to go back in installed! I haven’t swapped the slave onto it yet, I will wait until the engine and box are in to see if I need to change the line or any thing
  6. A lot of bmw need big end bearings as often as other cars need timing belts, the v10 and v8 from the m5 and m3 around the e90 era were bad for it
  7. Because an r33 speedo bolts straight in and doesn’t require butchering the wiring
  8. Unfortunately I kept blowing the rear twin up
  9. When I put the engine in last time I hated that every piece of aluminum looked different, I took every thing to adept metal polishing and got them all satin polished (basically brushed) turbo before and after plenum before and after, I got everything else done as well, these photos just show the biggest difference
  10. Definitely do just gotta pay for your own ticket and hotel rooms lol
  11. I had a fuel smell coming from the drivers rear and pulled the tank out to inspect where it was coming from, turns out the breather hose from the tank to the filler neck was perished. I’m going to Japan next week and I’ll grab it while I’m there pulled the oil tank apart and started cleaning this crap out of it, some brake cleaner and rags got it looking new again
  12. Its hopefully going to actually start working on it again
  13. car is on a hoist ready to start getting work done on it again
  14. You will need custom pistons made, the combustion chamber is to modified for any off the shelf piston to give a good compression ratio
  15. Also on the haltech the 2 triggers are the opposite to what you’d think is correct
  16. The factory alternator probably can’t keep up anymore
  17. Custom pistons or machine the crown of the 10:1 piston down
  18. And id still take the -9 over the new hks turbos
