  1. man that sux. The price of similar units here are $2500 where as you can get the US models for around $700 shipped.
  2. Hey Gibbo, Welcome to the fold, and I can see your grin in your post :-) Gotta agree with everything you said as well. I sold my auto and picked up a manual which i drove from Noosa to Sydney, and the car handles like a dream at high speed. Absoluetly love it.
  3. Hey Guys, I've got the chance to get a Pioneer AVIC from the US, with DVD player, GPS etc. Will this work here? Can I get the Aussie maps for the Pioneer, and are the regional codes changeable? Cheers

    What About?

I think they'll just tune it on 98RON to produce the same performance. Not sure if this means more power or what, but it no doubt can be done. I doubt they will risk the image by having detuned versions around the world, that don't put out the performance specified, as you can bet your a$$ that as soon as one lands in every country that someone will try and prove the figures right or wrong.
  5. Baron, can you stop! Pitching tents aint the best look at work. And I'm scared stage 2 will hit which means wet spots.
  6. I think the 33's are dead seeeexy! Does this look plain?
  7. Dude, give this a try. Maybe get in contact with the seller. Not sure if it would be the same tune as the V35 but for $150USD it may be worth a shot. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/INFINITI-G3...sspagenameZWDVW Cheers Bobby
  8. Sorry dude, don't like your chances. Tried to sell the wife a few times, but seems most blokes have wisened up to this whole wife concept thing. Now if a few of us got together and tried to sell a few wives in some sort of bundle package, and then by a GTR in some kind of time share thing, then we might have a chance. As for kids, forget it. You'd have more luck selling an NA R33 GTS :-) On a serious note, if you find a buyer and they want a second set, please PM!
  9. Consider yourself famous Baron. That vid will probably get more viewing than most hollywood blockbusters.
  10. Not going to comment at all, just makes sure you turn up the volume for this first vid! http://jstylecars.com/?p=232 http://jstylecars.com/?p=234 http://jstylecars.com/?p=235 http://jstylecars.com/?p=236 http://jstylecars.com/?p=237 http://jstylecars.com/?p=229
  11. yeah exactly - which is why he's my idol I always thought he was just a shy quiet guy based on his F1 post race comments, but the more i learn about the guy the more i realised he's probably sporting a hangover from the night before, tired from the mrs/strippers (depends in who's turn it was) and was just bored with the whole driving thing
  12. :-) Movie of the century - Bar none!
  13. If there was one person in the world I would trade my life with, it would Kimi Raikkonen. Booze, Strippers and toys like this. http://www.italiaspeed.com/2007/motorsport...bikes/0212.html What a freak!
  14. Hey guys, I have a Legalis R exhaust for sale. It's from a 350Z with an extension piece added, like the US guys have on the NISMO exhausts. The exhaust is in excellent condition with a few scrapes underneath, and 1 dent the size of a 10c piece and 1 the size of a 5c piece. None of this is visible when it's on the car and doesn't effect the performance of it in anyway. Also one of the mounts was broken when the d!ckhead took it off last week, but its at the weld points so can be easily re-attached. On a V35 the tips come up to be around an inch or so short. To me it looked fine, but they can be exteneded when fitting. Paid $900 for it just on a month ago, looking for $800 or best offer. The only reason I'm selling is cause my new V35 already has the exact same exhaust on it :-). Sound wise, they are pretty quiet, especially when cruising. You can hear it on my V35 if in Sydney. Cheers Bobby
  15. John, How bad is your miss? I have a tiny little miss when the car is idling but nothing noticeable at all when driving. I'm thinking mine might be more to do with the aftermarket exhaust. If this was my idle pattern and 1 dot = 1 second, the gaps would be the miss i have ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... I'm not sure if you would even call it a miss.
  16. Very nice. Has to be the best front bar I've seen on a sedan so far. Any ideas what brand it is? Looks great. Oh, and welcome to V35world
  17. Good Luck dude, pretty sure the whole forum has it's fingers crossed for you. On the bright side - is there really that many more parts/issues it can be? The more time it takes the closer you are to a solution.
  18. Oh Man, I've been watching this topic grow, but thought it was just the regular whiz kids discussing quantum physics and the realtions to bore and stroke (no idea what that means). I had no idea BKC was here. Can i somehow select a lifetime subscription to BKC's posts?
  19. Snow, Do you think the GTR will enjoy the benifit of sponsor racing? That is sponsors who want to stand out from the crowd will throw the money behind something that has enormous hype and is not the same car as the rest of the field? Even if it is not the proven performer that the GT3 is. Given the following the GTR has amongst it's fans across the world, i can see some big money boys going out and getting themsleves a V-Spec to play with. Especially now that it will be available to the US market. Red-Bull Racing GTR anyone?
  20. Thanks Guys, I think it was only sitting on around 3000rpm in 6th doing close to 160. How do you find you clutch John?
  21. Well, all i can say is WOW. I sold my 05 auto on Tuesday, flew up to Sunshine coast Wed morning, picked up the 04 manual and drove back to Sydney, arrived this morning. The, "wow" part is on how different the manuals are to the auto's. I can't believe how much quicker they feel. This of course could be just my perception but man are they great to drive. The car seems to be in fine condition, and didn't skip a beat doing 1100k's in less than a day. The most surprising part was how much it just wants to pull and pull. In sixth gear doing 120, you can tap the accelerator and the thing throws you back and hits 160 in a blink. Features wise, the car has full Nismo shocks/springs, Fujitsubo exhaust (i think including the Y pipe)Front lip, one of earth grounding wire kit thingys, sunroof and all the other premium goodies except for the Nav. It also has the auto fold down side mirrors when reversing which will help keep that damn gutter rash away. It also seems to have an upgraded clutch but this is just cause I don't think the stocker would be so harsh/grippy. All in all I am one very rapt owner of my new, slightly older 6MT V35, and really can't get over the fact at how different a car it is to the auto. I clocked my auto a 1:21 around Wakefield so can't wait till it cools down to do a few laps in this one. I should do quite a bit better, with the better suspension, wheels, Brembo's and the manual tranny. In the auto's defence, I took it very very easy as didn't want to overheat the gearbox. Bed time now. :-)
  22. yep, Someone's just mucked around with a V35 pic. The wheels are the V35 19's.
  23. Hey Guys, Has anyone used this mob for a vehicle inspection? www.stateroads.com This is the mechanical inspection they do, and they also do a body/chassis check which includes things like paint depth thickness to check for repraying, and an interior check as well. Battery (condition Voltage test) Alternator (belt condition/tension, charging) Compression Test Cooling Pressure & Co2 Test (Radiator, Water Pump, Heater and Cooling hoses) Coolant recovery tank (condition, fluid level) Water pump (noise / leaks) Cooling fan operation Power steering (fluid level, belt condition/tension) AC compressor (proper cycling, belt condition/tension, Gas leakage) A/C condenser (corrosion, road hazard damage) Heater valve adjustment Engine Valve noise Fuel system operation (connections/leakage) Valve stem condition Engine & Transmission leaks Engine/Transmission mount condition Transfer case (housing cracks and leakage) Brake master cylinder and booster (operation/leaks) Tyres Wheels/rims (Check for damage) CV Joint/boots/drive-shaft/universal joint (cracks, leakage) Differential (wear, whine, housing cracks and leakage) Brake pad thickness Brake rotor thickness and surface Brake caliper leakage Hydraulic hose/line leakage and free movement Suspension (springs proper ride height) McPherson strut/shock absorber leakage Bushing condition Ball joint and tie rod ends Power steering rack leakage Entire exhaust system (condition, leaks, damage, noise, catalytic converter and converter shield) My dilema is, the car I want to get is in Qld, and is quite new 2004 V35 Coupe. Because it's a couple of hours out of Brissy, they want $450 for it. Is it worth it for a newish car? If you've used them, any feedback? Cheers - sorry for the long post.
  24. Around the $40k mark. Which I think is not too bad based on the price of manuals. Just be patient and don't rush it otherwise you'll be doing what I'm doing and looking again within 6 months :-) Being very specific on options also makes it that much tougher. But I've also heard people finding their dream car in a week. Just depends what pops up. I was looking for this kind of car at the auctions as well but they were just so rare, which is why I think i rushed a bit in the end and bought the one i did. When i was looking, a good condition Black manual Premium was easily fetching 2.4 - 2.6mil yen, car cost only. I was also looking only at very good conditions cars. My 2005 was a grade 5A and the black one I'm looking at is a 4.5. Add everything else before you get it on the road and back then it was working out to be quite a bit over 40k. (the dollar was 91yen when I bought)
  25. Thanks mate, I think this black one is just a much better all round sports car, where as my auto was more a cruising car. Yes I know they're the same car with the same engine, but the transmission and the brakes just do it for me. Will definitely get some pics up once the wheels are on. I'm actually thinking of going for some TE37's now, but will wait till i get these first and see how they look.
