    Gtr V Lf-a

If Toyota have the audacity to charge $163,000 for a queer looking luxo-barge like the SC430, I can only imagine how exorbitantly priced the LF-A will be. So even if the production version matches the R35 'Ring time, you can expect to pay a 911-GT3-style price of admission to have your more aesthetically pleasing bodywork.
  2. i think i'll have to buy an R31 to disrespect at the next event in september...

  6. what kind of moron uses steel-wool on the inside of the glass anyway?
  7. ^ that's coz the valve block isn't modulating the line pressure at the limit of adhesion but all you guys with roadcars should keep it
  8. There is absolutely no reason to try and disconnect ABS in a road car. But, in 100% track dedicated cars, you do get slightly higher braking efficiency.
  9. someone pls change 'there' to 'their' in the thread title many thx
  10. Just like Homer did with Marge by buying her a bowling ball drilled for his finger size, and with Homer engraved on it?

  12. I do a lot of driving per working week, and i gotta say- A lot of (even 'mature') people seem to drive like they're doing it for the first time. No; If you have right of way, and you stop for me for no reason, that doesn't make you generous... It makes you an out and out fuckwit
  13. pull type clutch kicked in from late '91, actually
  14. must have been free L.S.D day at the Fiat styling studios the day that one was deposited
  15. i doubt there are many track-day warriors that could get the last 5-6% braking efficiency available by setting the car up sans ABS
  16. it's fac-tor-ee on the Scuderias who are we to question the Italians style. lol
  17. are you seriously comparing the skills of guys whose parents had them racing go-karts from the time most of us are just starting primary school, to some 17.y.o who just rocked down to the local RTA, drove around the block, did a hill-start, reverse parallel-parked and then got handed a licence? g.t.f.o
  18. if it's gone from sounding like a sexy inline-6 to sounding like a dogshit flat-4, you must have a serious ignition problem. take it to a qualified auto sparky a.s.a.p
  19. most of the 'loss' on a chassis dyno comes from slip between the tyres and the rollers that is all...
  20. As Gary said- Porsche just bought Audi, but they've held about 40% of the shares for ages... so technical nous isn't the issue I think the real reason would be space: the distance between the back seat and the rear bumper (not very blood far) on a 911 Turbo already has to accommodate a flat 6, 2 turbos, 2 intercoolers, 2 air boxes, a transaxle, multi-link suspension and a fairly elaborate exhaust system. Gives me a headache just thinking about it...
  21. day-umm that's fast a quick calculation shows that it has to average 167km/h over the 20.832km to set that sort of time much (more) respect...
  22. what benefit you could possibly get from the massive effort involved escapes me completely... if any even exists
  23. 'shopped to the max just count the doors for starters...
  24. they'd sell millions and the market for fake 'Nissan' and 'GT-R' badges would go through the roof
