  2. Hey, happy to exercise the cars while they're sitting around doing nothing
  3. this argument is retarded if bkc were into V8's, he'd be trying to tell anything with ears how much better an iron head and block, carbied, Holden 308 is than the current alloy Chev 6.0 litre job. go away son- this thread has well and truly out-lived it's usefulness (i.e- to make you look like a fool and give us a laugh)
  4. then you could expect the 430 Scuderia to murder that list

  8. man, this thread has reminded me how hot R32 GT-Rs are when the weather is warm. even with the vent set to recirc, the heat that comes through the firewall and floorpan when you drive it for a while is annoying
  9. I remember an article in Wheels a few years ago where he was flogging some Fiat sh*tbox whitless around Fiorano with journo Peter Robinson, casually chatting away the whole time the car was pushed to it's limit, and while sideways through a corner he commented "the outfield of the track is quite picturesque here- this is the first time i've been through here slow enough to notice"
  10. didn't 33 GT-R wheels cost $2K each to replace? the engine is quite reasonable given the exotic and hand-built nature

  13. i noticed the other day the car dealerships in castle hill managed to avoid this somehow
  14. todays collection i give the car 10/10 (love that electric blue), and the cutie that got out of it gets 9.5/10 down at Prestons sorry about losing the front of the Phantom- I didn't get the cam ready quick enough first blinged one I've seen, Hyde Park
  15. that belongs to the P1 car club- i've been in it while it was being caned it sounds teh awesome p.s i've seen that black 612 Scaglietti about 5 times- it's a city regular
  16. the problem here is weight as Ferni said, you can't go too far either side of optimal for the damping and have a system that works well (ie- 'jacking' down or po-go'ing). the engineers have obviously chosen springs that have a huge rate to control the fat body, so that basicaly determines the ride characteristics. the shockies only job is to 'damp' the motion of the springs
  17. how does someone who gets paid cubic dollars per year to pilot the worlds ultimate racing vehicles get any enjoyment out of a slow, ill handling p.o.s like that bike?
  18. or how about- "the new GT-R is so heavy, that to legally drive one in Australia- you need to pay a road crew to follow you everywhere and fix the road that you've just driven over"
  19. this thread sucks ass through a straw
  20. no doubt- MINES faster sorry, i'll be good now....
  21. It makes the same noise as an F1 car on the gearchange- that distinct staccato as the spark is briefly retarded by the ecu while the new gear is engaged
  22. toss out 400kg, modify everything- and a 53 sec lap is in the bag
  23. seems to work like that in Sydney too i've worked out that if you can park for free where you work, it comes out about the same to drive a car rather than catch public transport given the uber-freaks that use public transport, not to mention the sheer sloth-like pace- where's the incentive?
  24. where are these auto electricians that get to charge $150 an hour? you having the work done in Japan?
