  3. how much did u pay for it? if someone is selling a car with forged internals and a bigger turbo they would certainly advertise it as that to get more money. they wouldnt list a 1995 gtst with forged internals and a big turbo as a plain old gtst for 15k. it would be listed properly for 23k as an example. you can ask a shop to check for you if you wish. not sure how u would check what internals are in there
  4. yeah remap will get it spot on. should be a lot safer and might get some more midrange into it. if it is in fact 14 on max load you shouldnt be flogging it on the street.
  5. 14 is very lean. suspect fuel pump on the way out. dr drift will sort out the afr's. no need for safc. it wont help you monitor the afrs. once the tune has been done it will be sweet and afrs should be spot. it should be near 12 on max load. 14 is too lean on max load
  6. yeah for an auto the ideal combo we think is the safc and sitc i think the greddy emanage could come out on top if tuned well enough, so its a case of can you find someone good enough to tune it and how much will it cost. i think theres a big wad of places who can do the safc and sitc. but not sure how many emanage tuners there are out there
  7. i wouldnlt expect there is a hard cut limit. it will simply come down to how well you can comprimise the tune and juggle the load points. eventually youll get to a stage where the safc just dials in too much timing so it detonates, the stock ecu backs off timing as it see's too much detonation. so its a catch 20 situation. sooner or later you'll just want to change to stand alone to get around those issues but certainly give it a shot. i would expect somewhere past 250 to be the limits of the juggling act and detonation kicking in.
  8. or look here http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/docs/airfl...ter-wiring.html
  9. $600 vs $50 which would you pefer
  10. im curious how it went also. did you find it a big struggle or did it turn out reasonably ok? hope it went well
  11. i wouldnt think there is one at all. im not even sure it would work with the stock ecu or powerfc being a different sensor type. and dont bother getting an af guage off the stock narrowband sensor it will be pointless and given you nothing useful
  12. this is what the sensor up the bum looks like
  13. <contact>[email protected]</contact>
  14. let me clarify. when they tune your car they stick one up the exhaust pipe at the back and use a portable controller and guage to read and then tune your car. they keep the stock narrowband sensor in the exhaust dump pipe. they tune the car accordingly and then remove it when done. theres no need to replace your factory narrowband one unless it is broken and doesn't return anything useful. they have a lifespan of around 50,000k's ish. so it might be worthwhile just replacing it anyway. the stock 33 gtst sensor is a generic 3 wire sensor and you can use a ford el falcon sensor as its the same type and setup.
  15. the powerfc doesnt have a limp mode. if the loom is loose and you have to wiggle it stop right there. stop driving the car. cut the power and fix the problem. it shouldnt be loose and you shouldnt have to wiggle it. post up once you have fixed that. its likely to fix the stalling issues
  16. well going slightly past it might be ok and acceptable. but going well beyond problaby isnt a good idea. how much power do u want to make?
  17. doh, good spot. didnt think of that
  18. looks like a series 2 engine
  19. for those that aren't sure of where the sarcasm with stock injectors is coming from, we've seen in the past cars making high power on stock injectors go bang and cost the owner lots of $$$. the main one that comes to mind was a car in perth see here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=55318&hl= high figures are certainly possible, just not safe and not a good idea. you should ensure you have adequate fuel systems to keep it safe. this means injectors, pump, regulator and anything else in that area
  20. post a photo
  21. oh. my bad. i though it was during boost building. yeah the look at how u cann adapt the gtr bov. try here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=126240
  22. if you block off the stock bov does the surge when coming on boost go away? are u sure the bov is at fault? it could be compressor surgeing
  23. how cool
  24. someone try with 02 feedback off like ash said see if i helps
  25. interesting point gareth. i had the fluid changed some time ago, 8 months ish. im not even sure what fluid was put in. ive got the guy disecting the centre and ill find out tuesday. it certainly could be pump and pressure related. how would i go about tetsting/checking
