  1. yes ECR33 has excess airflow protection ER34 has excess airflow protection ER34 also has excess boost protection via the 2nd map sensor that runs to the ECU its likely you are just tripping that out, youll need a remap, a map sensor cut device, run it no where and crimp the vac line or get a stand alone
  2. hi ken unsure on the outlet sizes but im guessing it is all the same as the off the shelf turbo kits are generic to suit BNR32/BCNR33 and there are no different options to ensure it mates up. the 02 sensors are different sensor type, but unsure if the bung is different thread/pitch/size etc, BRN32 is from memory titania and BCNR33 is zirconia
  3. happy bday from all at sau vic
  4. simpsons did it nistune or powerfc
  5. pick a box, it's contents will help you on your way
  6. search look up documentation ask 5 tuners that should be enough to give you the answers if all else fails read the PFC FAQ then look for the micortech FAQ
  7. why if you have an auto skyline? becuase there are no aftermarket stand alone ECU's that support auto properly so you are stuck with the STD ECU & piggybacks on top i see no legit reason to use SAFC and SITC and others on the normal ECU if you have manual GTST its probably cheaper and easier and quicker and better results to just go powerfc (or nistune) straight off the bat
  8. 02 feedback aims for stoich 14.7 by default you can change it with datalogit
  9. the only time i could see it useful is if you have an auto skyline? otherwise you may find a powerfc would come up at the same price by the time you factor in two seperate installs, two seeprate tunes and buying both items
  10. if 02 feedback is working and turned on, you dont need to tune every cell to get good fuel economy it certainly helps, but its not the be-all and end all if working 02 feedback is ON
  11. no idea on what is required and you won't get it from the datalogit guys as their hard work and time that has gone into datalogit, why would they release it? you can find it on the internet look in my PFC FAQ under hacking and youll find a post by goblin from the rx7 forums he disassembled the protocols and the checksums and it has some info in here
  12. every question you have is covered in the PFC FAQ its in my signature and look for "HAKO" in the PFC FAQ
  13. 193rwkw is bang on for std turbo. mine made 192rwkw with a good tune your economy should be 350kms to a tank and some dynos will give higher readings ie moving the air temp sensor is enough to inflate your reading from 190rwkw+ to 210rwkw+ so take it with a grain of salt and for what its worth your better of making less power and having a quicker car vs havingt more power on an inflated sheet to check if 02 feedback is on read the powerfc faq in my signature and use the online emulator also in my signature if your economy is 190kms to tank its likely 02 feedback is off (turn it on)
  14. the reason you dont get data is because the powerfc protocol has specific check sums and commands and it wont do diddly squat without that sequence ive got an fc-hako cable but it is being used at the moment i think your idea is great and i think there might be a market in it i think its annoying if you have a track car that you have to have a fully blown laptop in your car to log all the data if you can plug a USB style dongle into the PS2 port and it basically logs every sensor the cars has, this would be great
  15. so hungry
  16. over complexified +1 whats the point of two ecu's? there is no reason the microguess will make more power than the powerfc or any other ecu it all comes down to the tune, how it's setup and how well the tuner can tune the tune of the tune and adjust the tune ie: the power is in the tune - not the ECU
  17. moved from tutorial as it's not a how to guide
  18. thanks for the feedback and for your attendance last night i will add this into the FAQ later and clean up some of the info ill put the pack on my site tonight as this site has 2mb file restriction the cable on display is from www.fc-hako.com if you are interested
  19. 4 years old....
  20. happy bday and all the best from sau vic
  21. what ever is wrong, it's pretty serious ie a vacuum leak wouldnt cause this or simple config error check the ECU, check for physical damage or component damage check the connector into the ECU, is it firm and not loose / floppying with mangled wires hanging out how is the state of the loom ? when it occurs anything odd in ETC, SENSOR SW CHECK ? (Drive with this on the screen and watch when it occurs)
  22. i think most workshops doing a dyno tune on a car would do it with an 02 sensor up the muffler this saves time and is quicker and easier to perform how many workshops would remove the factory 02 sensor and put a wideband sensor in the bung on the dump for tuning and then remove it when done ?
  23. yeah you should be able to get 13 OK i was able to do 13.7 with 105mph with a crap diff so if you have traction and a good diff youll be fine
  24. or not enough oil or too much check the oil level when the engine is hot using dipstick
  25. yep you are correct and im wrong, oil pressure (at least for ECR33 RB25DET) is 1.1kgcm2 at idle 3.5kgcm2 at 2000rpm 5.6kgcm2 at 6000rpm i always assumed it was meant to be 2.0kgcm2 at idle ive never seen near 1kgcm2 at idle on my car, its always 2kgcm2 at idle but i do put in 5l each time and usually go for 5w40 but rb25 + 230k on the ODO
