  2. when you say 5psi... do you mean 5psi, or do you mean 5 on the gauge? 5 on the gauge might not be abnormal especially if your meaning of "stock" is an exhaust and pod if it in indeed 5psi then maybe your cat is clogged? otherwise i have no idea Warren.

  4. inside temp sensor is the little holes next to the ashtray on the contre console amb temp sensor is on the front of the car near the horns

  6. well i started the car finally and it was fine - not hint of any battery problems at all... for reference: i turned off the back-up siren and disconnected the negative battery terminal and that's it Warren.

  9. gen3 is an engine type, so a stock V8 VT does have a gen3 under its bonnet... not trouble, well not the ones i have 'seen' maybe its just that the average VT driver is a bit older and not that great with the manual shifter. after all mine's an auto and easier to launch and drive consistently

  13. yes, i can confirm that but my car isn't completely stock so that changes the equation a bit
  14. agreed best performance import NA is probably the NA mark4 supra an R33GTS might be slower than a commonwhore, but it still handels like a skyline, and has everything else almost the same as its bigger brothers
  15. thing is, mate, i am comparing what i consider an 'average' car for what is out there on the roads if you looked for the 'average' commodore, you would find that they are mostly COMPLTELY stock. sure there are the odd one with exhaust etc. but there are so many compltely stock ones, that this makes them the average if you looked for the 'average' R33, you would find that they are mostly with an exhaust and air filter. sure there are heavily modified ones but there are almost no compeltely stock cars. so, the only meaningful comparison would be comparing the average car out there on the road if you read my first post, then you will see that i agree that the V8 commo will beat an NA R33. hell, even a V6 commo would probably beat the NA R33 but if it were a GTS25T (read: R33 turbo) then that's a different story... don't believe me? go drive one

  17. have you checked out third party insurance? ...alternatively just save up some cash and get some experience in a shitty old runabout untill you can afford a faster import remember to factor in the cost of pertol (bloody expensive these days)
  18. did i say it would be standard? have you ever seen a completely standard import? my response assumed it would have an exhaust of some sort but i would expect the kind of comment you made... after all you drive a commonwhore so you think yours is faster, and i drive a skyline - difference is i know mine is faster than a genIII commonwhore (been there, beaten that) so i go on my past experiences with my comments oh, and if you're childish enough to think up an abusive reply then don't bother EDIT: just re-read... you don't have a commo, sorry, but you are still wrong

  22. if the R33 is NA then there is no hope against the commo, its is a turbo (GTS25T) then it will beat the commo whether its a V6 or V8...
  23. with the FMIC in place i would say its safe although personaly i found (on the dyno) that i made about 0.2kW more running 14psi than i did running 12psi...
