  1. radio controls will work. cruise will not and depending variant of the audio controls some of the buttons may not. what radio is in the car - 6cd?
  2. if you look closely at it the wheels are 4 stud. that is a NA car as std so teh thing has the crap brakes and if hte engine WAS swapped probably a CA18I in the slot. . the AC controls are teh plain ones as well. its good for parts and in reality not a lot of good for that.
  3. I have pulled a couple of those back out. somthing to do with the screen not dropping down.
  4. I know that on a RB25 version the AC input is in a different spot. may pay to pin the two out to check it.
  5. says he that owns a STi I own a TT version - stupidly quick loves fuel the second you stand on it. mine lives on a diet of 98 + E85. 60 lt will go in 180km if you boot it everywhere. drive it sedately and it will yield 600 km off 60 lt. mods - forget it , just drive the thing.
  6. you are sitting 10 m away if you are lucky. usually you can spit on your car..
  7. yes there is. rumor is it involves a racetrack.
  8. they will make them as thick as you can drink. the last few I had gave me a brain freeze.
  9. bit late - bradys body works -= coopers plains. he's built quite a few bonnets for me. never had an issue with cracking or bad paint.
  10. RAWS in Darra QLD does them 07-3279-7700 - speak to bruce.
  11. also - buy them from a dealer and NOT off the net. there are copies floating around on ebay that will pass as originals until you listen to them.
  12. better off ripping it out. parts for those stopped about late 2007. brian can sort it either way.
  13. I know richie, its a once a month thing. two nandos operators run it in conjunction with a web forum PWND has been changed a bit. I put my hands on it about 2 months ago.
  14. if I can get clear of all these cars - yes I will attend in the subaru. call me if you are going.
  15. carseldine. I should have everything caught up pending two other cars with electrical probs.
  16. sounds like a wet siren to me. I have a customers car doing this at the moment but I cannot isolate it back to the siren or unit. I didnt do the initial install of it either so tht makes it a bit harder.
  17. got these today. R32 GTR I'cooler piping and BOVs. I already have the brackets to mount this stuff. the rear mudflaps and fuse panel cover were an extra bonus. now to work out what I am missing. I still need a GTR air box and BOV return pipe.
  18. same as me then. I took today off and for the whole day my shop/mobile has run 3 times. mechanic that is next door to me has teh same issue. shop to run with little work in it.
  19. day off for me today (sorta) going to spend today at home doing paperwork. if simon (ezy34) gets back to me I might work on his van.
  20. bit extreme. its called fleet management. councils use it, trucking companies use it and it does pretty much what you describe but the owner of the fleet has access to it and no one else. I used to have a the brisbane ferry fleet on remote control . I could pull those up and see what these were doing and diagnose them via PC if something went wrong. the one you have is a alarm based tracking system. slightly different critter. as for the idea. nothing new. I have been fitting all sorts of these things for years and some oz companies have requested them on WRXs and other high target cars for years. so by the look of it someone has gotten a skewed view of the original idea and run with it. its nothing new. if you want to put a spin on it then look at the USA where some cars log what happens when an accident occurs and they have the potential to pull the info out of the cars computer and use that. food for thought.
  21. may be able to help. what sort of money do you have to spend?
