NZ R33 Long Term Build
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to R3N3's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
This is what you need to adjust, ideally you want the trigger arming voltage to be a touch lower than the actually voltage read at the cranking RPM. I would setup a screen similar to this, and then cranking the car and see what you need to adjust the trigger arming voltage to be at. This is from a Haltech article https://support.haltech.com/portal/en/kb/articles/trigger-arming-voltage -
Anti roll bars are very hot topic, I'm personally not a fan of the super stiff setup. From my personal experience, I prefer upping the spring rate (I'm planning to myself, especially for SMSP). Since Matt's car already understeers, I would not be adding a front ARB, however introducing a rear should aid in it clocking better, however with a slight compromise as the car would snap oversteer much easier.

Haha wouldn't say it's stealing, when other Skylines also have similar designs. Inspired by one another -

Bring up the scope and/or just look at the trigger voltages and crank the car. Now see what it's registering at, and adjust your trigger arming voltage table so it's a little below the voltage at crank. I'll send some screen shots tomorrow when I'm at my desk. -

wow... look very OEM+ Looking superb! The airbox cover is real nice, it goes down and seals up against the pipe work too! -
Holes drilled into the floor, @34GeeTeeTee made me do it 😂 Now the sub harness no longer shares the 2x mounting points for the waist straps. I really should just get a half cage.

Very nicely tucked exhaust! -
Yeah don't do 180km/h+ gate it in a 70km/h zone with Go Pros mounted and some internet superstar from TRC.

The Asian already calculated the overall upfront investment with both scenarios and M2 provided overall better ROI.

And by the time it's fabricated nicely, installed, tuned, it's close to $20k. And at that point, buying my R33 at $60k seems like amazing value.
-
Then a BMW M2 non-Comp with a N55 now seems very enticing and good value.

Sure is, good bye low down lol. Same turbo setup, moving to a FFP I have gained an extra 200 to 300rpm of "lag".
-
Just proves you don't need a fancy intake plenum. Current iteration I'm running a FFP, kind of a "might as well" moment because needed to fit DBW and delete all the garbage idle control leak valves and other useless crap.

I used a stock intake manifold on various iterations of the build. First time made 372kW, then 407kW (with a leaking FMIC).
