  1. I wouldn't waste your time with a skinny earls filter- too small, get clogged quickly, fuel seems to have to move to fast through them... I've have a couple and they just get thrown out. I prefer a larger body with a bigger screen area, especially at such fine filtration. My injector manufacturer mandates 10mic. I use Weldon filters in my GTR, big body- big screen area and very well made. Unlikely to come apart (compatible with meth, nitro meth and all race fuels) Saying that, I'd just buy another couple of Bosch MS filters and be done with it... at least that way you don't have to change anything and you know they work. It's likely I'll go that way with my gts-t build. Cheers J.
  2. Interesting ront diffuser/undertray you have there fat man...
  3. Get the car to a good mechanical standard. Replace the stock front pipe, dump pipe, down pipe. Correctly install better intercooler pipe work... I'd bet you have multiple boost leaks. Get it on a Dino. J.
  4. .. r33 GTR missing at 3500rpm! 2 questions: - Where did it go? I assume it came back/ - Do you have a picture of the flux capacitor install? Cheers Justin
  5. As above... 98mph trap- your down on power or there is some funky gearing/ratio's going on. Plenty of people have run well into the 13's with stock turbo's. For the kind of power your looking at, get a drag radial with a slightly lower rolling diameter than your 18's. Diff, axles, half shafts and cv's are all fine. J.
  6. Throw some nitro meth into the e85... start at 7 percent. Oh and throw away the walbro and get a real fuel pump.... Weldon!
  7. Awesome update... Keep them coming. It's good to see a neat hr31 coming along nicely. J.
  8. Hey Ben, ... your inbox is full, could you shoot me a PM? Cheers Justin
  9. Id say the oil seals are done in whatever turbo you have on it. Stick with the 20, op6 and cam gears, nistune and a z32.... then just drive it!
  10. Damn I love this car!!! ...vh45 conversion? I dig the wheels, hard to go better?
  11. Swap the gas kit for an hks 2530?
  12. After re-reading this thread the other day...... I went and bought another r32 roller to build as a grip car :-) ... I just can't help myself. ... Probably won't be the kind of budget for this build for Ikeya F LCA's etc ... Keep us posted Tim :-)
  13. I firmly believe in the right to bare arms race cars! Everyone needs a drag car, drift car and grip car!!! ... and a daily ... and a boat ... and a car for the missus ... and a bike :-)
  14. I'd be tempted to paint the trim gloss metallic black. Grab a couple new vents for the dash... and a stock GTR wheel. ... aaarh bodywork. maybe smooth it off and wrap the car?
  15. That LPG set up is interesting... I wonder what kind of head room the lpg system has :-)
  16. Hey Tim, Any updates there big fella? J.
  17. adding a gts-t lsd (gtr diff is clutch/plate.. more expensive) and dropping ratio's will allow you to use 160hp more effectively. Just think light weight, more grip, better brakes (Id be finding some gts-t callipers and rotors). 160hp at the wheels or at the engine? either way, id get more compression in the thing, port match the intake and exhaust and pick up an safc cheap for a bit of a tune. best single mod is to get the best tyres you can afford. Keen to see how your first race pans out. Cheers J.
  18. Im interested to see how you go with the geometry changes the pbm arms and knuckles give you, if your getting into circuit work. The Ackerman changes (we found the pbm knuckles in my drift car cut the Ackerman in half without rack location changes), less caster gain? and more camber gain through the full range of motion? cheers J.
  19. gee, that makes a neat job of it... ebay here I come!
  20. Saying that, I do have a soft spot for an rb24. Little revvy screamer, make absolutely no financial reason (although, spending cash on cars like we all do, none of that makes any reason either!) Apparently there was an rb24 sohc carbie production engine... might be able to find parts in the US? Cheers J.
  21. leave it unopened OR ... just buy a GTR.
  22. at least skim the head a few times... you know, just to make sure it's straight... oh and if the exhaust manifold is a bit crooked, just make sure the port and flange match... you know, just so it's all correct :-) and just in case your diff needs work, viscous lsd's are cheap for 32's.... and if you find the crown wheel and pinion are no good, then if there happens to be an 4.636 - C23 Serena SR20DE 4WD Manual, C23 CD20T 4WD (4.636:1)in a wrecking yard, then that might be good for replacement parts??? :-)
