Mitch's R33 Ls Track Car Rebuild
No Crust Racing replied to Mitch_Dubya's topic in Motorsport Builds
I'm gonna go with White flares. Didn't like that Ag Pipe for brake ducts? Still looks like eleventy degrees front camber, have you fiddled with that yet? Those Nankangs are a death trap. Nice work on PB -

E85 Fuel Consumption
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks, this confirms my suspicions and my limited understanding of what I was reading in those tables - great explanation and I appreciate the time taken to share that. I've heard mixed reports of what the onboard map sensor will top out at, but I did see the boost on the dynos gauge when we tuned it - doesn't mean its running it now though. -

Given the context of those comments, not really Dyno will fix all with new map sensor and cams, then all of this will be a distant memory (also closed loop boost unless there's something I'm missing about wy you'd want to be open loop?). Still doesn't explain why every comment seems to imply the fuel tables are "odd". -

R35s in Melbourne Trying to make a call on whether I want to sell/swap my 34 for a 35 and would like to get behind the wheel of one first, but I don't want to waste a potential sellers time, Is there anyone around the Essendon fields area that would be happy to take me for a spin/let me go for a basic drive (with you in the car) - I';ll be in Melbourne on the weekend of the 8th of next month. . I'm happy to flick you some cash for fuel etc, I just can't think of a better way to do this other than hiring one or pretending to be a buyer and I hate tyre kickers. PM me, many thanks.

This ^^ Durign a 7/10ths hill run, I have no issue with it, but it was squirrely as hell when turning into the big left hander at Winton at 150+ Rear end didn't know what it wanted to do. In the end I had to just tip it with trail braking in and let the car settle itself before making the change of direction mid corner. I should add, I have no major issue with it as it only bothers when driving hard and that's not the norm. Track car has no HICAS so happy days. -
Evo calipers on 34R

Good to know. I'm surprised balance would be that far out? Sounding a lot easier to just paint the current calipers red and get some fresh vinyls as was suggested earlier lol- 40 replies

Help? Do you mean asking your thoughts about your Evo? Or talking -9s and response etc? Not sure if I count opinions as "help", but then again you are helping by answering and giving me your thoughts so I guess that's a fair point of view from a certain perspective - if that's what you mean. Come to think of it, you're actually probably more "helpful" and generally less salty in PM. I like this sort of "help" you provide lol Took about 2minutes and that was only going back through a handful of my own threads and lately. Keep up that helpfulness So yeah, I guess maybe that's the way "I" wanna be and nothing to do with you at all lol Ah well, we'll always have Paris xox -

"Yeah I floored it and it was like 9 or 10 or something around full boost, or there abouts, yeah between around 4 and 5k rpm" Would have been heaps accurate and a great way to do some logging lol you muppet Then you'd be the first person jumping on to say "You should have logged it properly." You must be a blast at parties lol -

Was looking at the trace and noticed that there was no wide band data, because that channel doesn't appear to be selected for logging by default 0_0 -
Thanks for the info, I'll have a look locally and see what I turn up. V1 seems to work OK so now it's time to lighten it

I think I might do my V2 splitter in something like that. Where'd you get it?

Getrag Parts Discontinued?
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ATS Twin Plate Carbon, unknown km's on that, was in it when I bought it. Car has done just under 88ks and given it had an oil cooler and a few suspension mods, I wouldn't be surprised to find it had done some track k's before I bought it - though the general condition of the car implies if it must have done minimal work. -
What did you make that splitter out of?

Getrag Parts Discontinued?
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
No idea, I've done 1000ks in the car in 18mths. I just noticed that on a few WOT changes between 2nd and 3rd that 3rd was hard to engage and on a couple of occasions it popped out of gear. Award told me it will need Synchros and a 3-4 hub and sleeve to remedy those issues and also to try a better trans mount and fluid (which helped). I'm also known for being a bit picky with that sort of stuff so by other peoples standards it might be "fine". The clutch could also be a component of the engagement issue as heat seems to be a factor. -

Awaiting confirmation that they've finished the 3rd/4th hub and sleeve. All reviews of the business, the product, and the service looked good. -

Just spoke to another local tuner and showed him those snaps and he said the same thing about it being unusual but could be fine depending on the rest of the setup. He's happy to have a look at my log after I get one. Will go from there.
