  1. Finished this install, height difference is very minimal. Only noticeable when trying to install them and you need that extra mm or 2 of clearance to get them in.
  2. Not a record backing number just yet.
  3. "there will never be a trap speed shared." So I win $50? Don't stress though, as this is the reverse situation where your number is actually smaller and it's a good thing. $50AUD is like $3.50 USD these days
  4. $50 says we ask this question again in 6mths time and some other drama has unfolded/the car is still not fixed and there will never be a trap speed shared.
  5. And nothing but crickets for 6mths... I lurked for a long time waiting for a conclusion to this. MPH?
  6. Cut off/remove the backing plates, helps keep them cooler.
  7. I don't want you to rush, because the quality and finish of this is going to be amazing, but man I wish this was moving faster
  8. Forgot to add 2x full sets. 17x8 and 17x9 multi stud. One set has 235 RS-Rs on them with a bit of tread left. I need some 4stud/multi stud 17x9 all round that will clear 4 pot brakes on a Silvia.
  9. Bump. Offers welcome, want this junk gone. Some of it will go to scrap metal if need be.
  10. I would have thought you could have bought that all locally for the same or less? http://www.alljdmmotors.com/details/1208/nissan/jdm-r34-gtr-rb26dett-full-swap-motor-trans.html Either way, build looks like fun. Any plans for modifying the motor before it goes in? Good time to swap turbos...
  11. How that limiter behaves has a bit of an impact too, if only you knew a good tuner.
  12. I was under the impression many people had seen the head "drain" was actually just a sump vent in effect. I'd do both if I had it all apart, never think about it again.
  13. Did you notice any difference in the transmission after the fluid change? I just put the same fluid in and haven't driven the car yet.
  14. Car is looking good You ready for some mods yet?
  15. Looks like you'll need to bore it, get some oversized pistons, and a new stroker crank...
  16. I'm a bit confused, I didn't think 7670 would make high 300s on a 26? I had a chat with Geoff about and he was suggesting the 8374 instead. I'm like a few of you, want the most responsive 500rwhp or so street setup. I do have N1 manifolds (wanted bigger.but cast) a full 3.5" exhaust and e85 to help though, oh and about to fit Kelford L182-A drop ins.
  17. Oh dear. If it's our money and not rocking the boat is an issue, go the NEO route and just don't lean as hard on the new turbo, keep the power sensible and enjoy it. OR accept that it will be off the road longer, keep saving and go RB30. Just depends on if you want to wait I guess? You do some built RB30 long blocks pop up from time to time cheapish.
  18. So I found a place in the Netherlands with new old stock of Toyota V160 parts, same thing different packet. I was willing to buy all 3 hub and sleeve assemblies but he will not sell those without selling a full synchro kit, and I mean full synchro kit not just liners etc. He's charging a premium naturally (circa 3k delivered) so I'm going to sit on it and wait til Jacks completes their revised 3-4 assembly and buy all my bits through them at more reasonable prices (under 2k and improved/revised hub/sleeve combo and carbon liners for 1-4.
