  1. IMO only one R34 sedan kit looks hot... so hot in fact that I'm seriously considering selling the ceffy and replacing it with a sedan with this kit. The BSK Factory kit for the sedan... hot hot: altho... the cross factory r34 sedan kit's growing on me... maybe with a West Yokohama rear bumper... hmmm
  2. Well I've collected some graphics together to put together a new look for the site. It'll have a "dark" theme and a "light" theme with both dynamic and fixed width. Defaulting to Light Dynamic. Will also be mocking up some logo's and graphics etc for merchandise and banner etc. I'll be posting progress pics in this thread in the day/weeks to come. One thing I'll definitely want to incorporate is the new GT-R in the design somehow. Any feedback and and design contribution is greatly appreciated. So for update number 1: New design (for t-shirts, 2 colour banners, etc) covering all the generations of Skylines, from ALSI thru to V37 and R35 GT-R (providing there's enough space ) Started with the ALSI and the S50, will be adding more generations as soon as I finish drawing em: stupid illustrator not allowing me to use a pressure sensitive stylus n having to taper the lines manually.
  3. Have you guys looked at Cross Factory guards? They've only been around since... oh... 2002 website... including pricing: http://www.cross-factory.com/R34.htm pics:
  4. if rules allow for it maybe remove the rad support and front and rear reinforcement bars and replace with chromolly tubing. also maybe start drilling holes in flat non structural body panels and dimple die'ing it.
  5. f**k YES! lol you rock. That car would be a handful when it's running.
  6. nice work, its a good car if its the same one i was lookin at. good price too.
  7. is that the new SMS controller that works with Viper modules? with 5 outputs and 6 inputs or something like that?
  8. I use an OS Giken OS Giken STR2BD (which is not as harsh as a C apparently) twinplate in my daily. Its quite driveable in heavy traffic, and still gives enough grip for trackdays n the like. Regular clutches feel so shit now after using the twinny (not to mention my foot goes straight to the floor cos they don't give as much resistance). Although I'm kinda tired of people telling me there's something rattling on my car whenever I put the clutch in.
  9. actually when i was last in thailand there were a few japanese guys there who were in hiding from the law or yakuza or something like that. might be someone like that who owns one don't get too comfy with it... they might chop ya
  10. if you're gonna personal import something and invest money in it... make sure its: a) unobtainable easily in australia b) gonna command a higher price here than in japan (that's kinda easy, most of them do) c) worth the hassle of importing d) desirable enough to the australian public that they'll overlook the taboo of buying a grey/personal import. anyone in the market for a merc or a beemer locally will just walk into a dealership and buy either of those.
  11. 'doh someone beat me to the bananaman punchline oh well. happy birthday
  12. considering HKS has an official R&D branch in Thailand, and Sepang International Circuit (where they have the F1 and JGTC rounds) isn't that far away, in addition to Nakornchaisri that's local, I'd say there's plenty of potential.
  13. ghosn's been watching too much of this stuff
  14. damn you... now I have coffee on my keyboard.
  15. I'm sure porsche's kicking back thinking... "amatures".

  18. lol why, there's already 6 of the bloody things running around on the streets on trade plates. not to mention one doin fully sick Chap laps.
  19. how about we settle for some old photochops
  20. anywhere from a month to a year. why not? its not like they lost out on sales with the S15. Initially the cost to bring in an S15 as an import was more than it cost to buy from Nissan Oz. Its only now that its a lot cheaper to import them. Care factor for Nissan Oz about resale value... nil.
  21. not unless compliance is granted to a RAW. collecting engineering data and registering a car are two very different and distant processes. it just means that the compliance process is under way. now begins the game of back and forthing with DOTARS.
  22. there was a mirc channel on irc.austnet.org that's been running since 2002 #skylinesaustralia
  23. i'm not running this year remember kids... a vote for ash is a vote for gay rights.
  24. ATM standard R32 GTR wheels got a set of Work VS-XX I'll be putting on one the car's been resprayed n the kit fitted.
