and even if it does pass a roadworthy (which i highly doubt because there will be a light in the dash saying that there is an error with the airbag), if you have a crash and your insurance company finds out there was no airbag, which they will, then you can get into trouble.

no worries. i've worked on a few of them already. they weigh close to 20kg. they are about 5kg heavier than a decent quality bike which doesn't cost too much more.

oh dear son of rajab....... *facepalm the ONLY thing on that bike that is any good is the rear derailleur. the rest of the bike is shit. the forks are cheap shit. the brakes are cheap shit and won't work very well, the frame is cheap shit alloy and will weigh more than a steel frame, the shifters are cheap shit non shimano items and will start to seize up after a few rides, the wheels are cheap shit and if you ride it often you will be lucky to get 6 months out of them before the hubs collapse, and finally it is a dual suspension, so that makes it even heavier and you will very quickly get sick of the bike 'bobbing' up and down every time you pedal.

yeah this thread is full of stupid (not from the people posting saying that it was a bad idea though). to the original poster, if you were to put your car on a dyno you'd probably find that you are making about 20kw less than a stock non turbo skyline, if not more (than 20kw less). the mechanic who did this for you is both smart and stupid at the same time. he is smart in the respect that he did this for you and you paid him to do it so he got money, and then you will keep paying him to get it running better, but he is stupid for not telling you that the car would run like arse when it's done. also i don't really think that putting a NA ecu in there will do much good as it is still going to be tuned for the higher compression. i think the best thing you can do is put the turbo back on and either park it for 10 months until you can legally drive it, or sell it and buy a cheap run around to drive for the next 10 months (and learn more about cars with) and then get a turbo once you can legally drive it, and have more knowledge about cars.

you can pick up ke70 corollas pretty cheap if you know where to look. looking on forums is the worse place to find a ke70, because that's where all the young people are trying to sell them and they know what they are worth. you need to find one being sold by an older person as they will sell them dirt cheap. there was a stock standard grandpa spec (so it was tidy) one for sale around the corner from me a few months back for $1500, still registered with RWC. if i had any money at the time i would've bought it.

any exhaust shop with any sort of mechanical ability should be able to make you up a mandrel bend system

hi and welcome. as for the coil issue, there could be a fault somewhere in the ecu (such as the ignition driver) that is causing the coils to fry.
-
the avcr needs to be spliced into the ecu harness. you can't hook it into the consult plug. the consult plug only has 3 wires. just search on here for an ecu pinout and that will tell you the wires you need to splice into

What Kind Of Power Will I Make With This Setup
mad082 replied to RicsR33's topic in General Maintenance
why not go the z32 ecu with a nitune? heaps cheaper than a pfc as you should be able to get it drive in/drive out for about 1k -
yeah what he said. or you could drill a hole the size of the hose. but i would just go through an existing grommet
-
the fact that if isn't drawing coolant back into the radiator suggests there is something wrong. if you have a new cap, then i would be looking at the overflow bottle or the hose to the overflow bottle. there may be a small amount of debris at the bottom of the overflow bottle that is allowing the coolant to come in, but when it tries to suck it back in it is blocking up the hole and not letting it back in.

i think that you will run into ecu issues (rich and retard, even with the safc) before you get too high. also depends on the dyno. but i'd say that if you can hit 220kw you will be doing well. -
well that is extremely easy to answer. make a list of every party in an engine. that will be the list of all the parts that were changed between the road version of the engine and the engine that is in skaife's race car. i'm not being a smart arse or anything, just making a simple fact. the whole point of the gts-r is a bit like the GTR. nissan knew that their base model car wouldn't win races in group a, so they added bits to the car to make it perform better (because people couldn't simply bolt on the goodies themselves to make it go better, they could only enhance what was already there), then sold just enough of them to make it legal to race it in group a (although in the case of the gtr it was very popular so they built more).

if it just isn't reading anything, then i'd say that the hose to the stock map sensor (drivers side just behind the strut tower in the engine bay) is probably split. i know a few people that have had this problem. the hose just gets old and brittle. check that. if it is split just take the hose to autobarn, repco, etc and get a new piece of hose.
-
also check that there aren't any broken manifold studs as the gasket flapping around can make that noise too.
-
that's not entirely correct. they often break because of the constant expanding and contraction of the manifold as it gets hold and then cools. you can get broken studs with a stuck exhaust. also, to get the studs out that aren't broken, just put 2 nuts on them, hold 1 nut and do the other nut up very tight to it (as a lock nut) then turn the nut closest to the head as if you were trying to undo it off the stud and the stud should come out (or snap if it is weak). i would replace all the head studs, because if they are weak you may snap more when you tighten the manifold up when you put it back on. to get the broken ones out you can either call a professional, or buy an "easy out". for these you drill a hole in the centre of the broken stud and screw or tap in the easy out and then turn it to remove the broken stud. if going down this route, also by some of the metal feeze stuff (not sure what it's called) but you spray it into the hole you drilled first and it is very cold and makes the metal contract (shrink) and makes it much easier to get the stud out. you could also spray some on the studs that are still ok before you try to remove them to make it a bit easier to get out

Lamborghini Murcielago Lp640 Or Ferrari F430

lambo all the way. why? the exhaust noise -
ummmm, i don't think there is a difference between the bodies of a 2002 beetle and a 2008 beetle. i just did a bit of searching and couldn't find anything that shows any differences. may be a difference in the interior, but from what info i could find, the body is the same (unless you compare the convertable to the hardtop, LOL)

welcome to the forums. i think the problem you are having finding a car that meets your criteria is that your budget is pretty low. someone isn't going to sell a mint condition car for the price that the dirty examples sell for. but you never know, you may find one that has slipped through the net.

Cut Speed To Let Our Cyclists Live - The Advertiser
mad082 replied to MYCEF3's topic in South Australia
and who is going to pay for that? the cyclists? if so, then expect there to be a lot more cars on the road due to less people riding and more people driving. also expect hospital waiting lists to get longer because of less people getting fit. i have thought about the rego issue quite a bit (since i'm in the bike industry) and the negative effects it could have are massive, not just for the industry, but for people in general (as i said above with things like increased traffic congestion and extra pressure on the health system). while i think there needs to be some form of identification for cyclists so they can be booked for running red lights via the cameras, i honestly don't know how it could be done without having massive negative effects. there are too many loopholes. yes there are some stupid cyclists out there, and they cause a lot of the accidents they are in, but there are also plenty of stupid drivers who don't know the rules and knock people off bikes because they don't know that a bike is considered a vehicle, so if you are at a give way sign, you have to give way to the bike. plenty of people think that cars have the right of way and just pull out in front of bikes. i've had many close calls when i have been going down a hill on the road and cars have just gone straight through give way signs because there was no cars coming, even though i was only about 10m from the intersection and travelling at about 50kmh. i've also had cars pull into driveways right in front of me. you also get dickheads that try and hit you with their side mirror as they go past you when you are riding on the shoulder. so for every bad cyclist out there, there are probably 10 bad car drivers that are putting cyclists lives at risk, some on purpose, others from pure negligence. as for dropping the speed limits, that won't make much of a difference. -
which beetle? the old ones that catch fire, or the new ones with 3 foot from the windscreen to the end of the dash?
